after half a year of buying nothing.. today 15grams were bought in the form of $10 dollars liberty head

Probably paid more than I should have (bought on impulse) , but not as much as they are currently selling for ($499 US). apparantly the initial sets were being sold for $199!

I seem to remember paying £1117 for a gold Brit in 2011/2012.

Received a $20 Liberty Head from HGM today.  I'm not too fond of the head but with spot being at the lowest point for me and not owning one, I had to buy it.  Since I was paying for postage already I padded the order with 3 half sovs for the £6.50 bracket.  I got 3 different heads so quite pleased.
 
The coin is 34mm but I've squeezed it into a 32mm ring so that it remains in a H sized capsule.  @Lindeman to make it easier to fit into the capsule I used a 40.6 instead of the 39.  Not perfect but better than going up a capsule size. 

A 2005 1 oz kookaburra. And that completes my 1990-2015 date run! My first and probably last silver date run.

Like KDave - a gold 1 ounce RM lunar year of the sheep. In the red credit card holder thing from Bairds...it's coming out of that into a capsule soon! Bit miffed that they flipped the offer with the 2014 lunar horse about 2 days after I bought my sheep! But never mind. Nice piece of gold.

Looks like there's no bottom. I wonder if it can reach £650 by weeks end.

My eye keeps being drawn to the Mexican 50 peso at Baird's, teetering just above £900. These were about £1050 not so long ago. I think if it dropped into the 800's I'd be seriously tempted as it would feel like paying not much more than an oz coin for a big 42g lump of gold.

Today I bought (and received as I collected), 1890, 1891, 1892 and 1893 sovereigns.

Don't think there was a London 1893 but I can't see any mint mark on it. Not looked with a loupe though yet.

Edit, just noticed there was London 1893's, just a different head.
