Hi all,
Recently started picking up the odd silver coin, looks like I'm going to become a "stacker" I believe is the correct title.
Hoping to be able to add some silver bars also.  Been looking at the auctions but they seem to go for about the same prices as buying direct from the manufacturers which i wasn't expecting.
I'm afraid I am not going to be able to ad much to the forum as knowledge is at a minimum but I look forward to gathering information and silver.

Sorry if a weird question,,,, but maybe I'm just a bit weird.
 
Will it make much difference if I take my silver coins out of the plastic capsules?? One part of me thinks it's best to leave them as is but the other part really wants to get them opened so I can get a proper feel the actual metal.  Feels strange holding them without touching them.

I like the idea of a pocket coin, I just don't think it would be enough for me.  I'd want to touch them all.
Got half a dozen, all 1oz silver, no proofs or anything special, more run if the mill stuff.  Canadian maple, American dollar , Australian Kangeroo, a couple of Britannias things like that.
