  1. Do you know something we don't?
  2. Happy Birthday from a cold Hastings morning £135
  3. Some update. Emailed the dealer and they have now taking down the listing. They will get the coin XRF tested and more likely sell for scrap gold.
  4. Thought I would have a look at the site today. I think they have priced themselves out of the market. Most of last summer the cheapest place to buy Gillicks sovereigns at under £10 over spot and now £461, £25 over.
  5. Yes, James gave up trying to make caviar from anchovies. Steffan made it sound so easy😂
  6. I think if you can buy a sovereign every week for the next 25 years, I would say you are already doing pretty well now, so your future should be fine. Regarding silver in physical form, I hold less than 100oz and I be surprised if I would double that amount within 5 years. It is enough just to say I have some.
  7. Hattie Jacques would be chasing Kenneth Williams in Carry On Matron
  8. If you want to do a simple date run, start with Edward as was King for only a short time and the coins very affordable. Another route is to buy the year you were born and do a catch up to the present day. This could be expensive if you are over 50
  9. I always thought it was Beachy Head. Googled and Dorset it is. I guess the director wanted a few days away in Dorset and not East Sussex 😂
  10. Truth be known, Michael Crawford in his younger days was a very brave talented actor/stuntman. I think this was filmed Beachy Head near Eastbourne.
  11. I think if @Skyfiller does not take it, I think @ZRPMs @ArgentSmithwould want it. Obviously OP wanted listing so has 1st option
  12. I do not know, but that does not matter as it a coin I would never want as it is ugly. Being rare does not mean it should be valuable. Many low mintage coins are worth close to spot. I can show you a two pound gold coin that graded PF70 with a population of one and it been sitting with the dealer for nearly a year.
  13. Don't show how many have been minted for sale, so can not see a big demand. To be honest it is an ugly coin
  14. @guywhostacks10122, you need to reply to members PM or you will find that no one will deal with you. You have already lost one of the biggest sellers and buyers @James32 due to this. Even if you are not interested, the polite thing is to reply and say no thanks in this instance. Remember, you have once chance to make a good impression after that, no matter what you do it is gone.
  15. I once lost a gold coin I had then noticed it had melted and made a right mess in my pocket.
  16. I said it before and say it again, ''as prices rise, the proof is the one to buy as the premium greatly narrow ''. Today got a proof 2012 for less than £800.
  17. Hello Has anyone got a 2012 Proof Sovereign COA. Have the coin and box just need the Paperwork which is COA and maybe a leaflet. Maybe you have graded yours and no longer need the COA as adds no extra value to the graded coin. Pm if you can help and thanks for reading. Spyder
  18. I also only leave feedback once buyers confirms delivery and as a buyer, once I get package I leave feedback and inform seller. I have always done it this way and it works for me. Plenty of times as seller and buyer members do not leave feedback which is a bit rude but cest la vie
  19. At this rate, you will have to get your sovereigns ready at 10 years intervals, next lined up 1849
  20. Even the Royal Mint has one listed for sale at £3500 with a sword with little details like this fake we are commenting on. These coins are best avoided.
  21. I would say it is gold, but only a XRF scanner would know what percentage it is.
  22. Because in another life, I was a carpenter😂
  23. £5 Sovereign from Britannia Coin Company site. Even their coin, the sword looks wrong. Step forward @LawrenceChard and have your say.
  24. The one does look like Karl Malden's nose
