Its hard to say.... bit like my tally whacker, when I hit it with a meat tenderizer...
Gas and electric companies are a monopoly, regardless from providers, they collude on price margins, so no matter. But govt are really interested the that Oil and gas is their bag, it pays the bucks, why? It pays their consultancy's fee when they fook off out of govt, its about exploitation, they have services to do that for them, its called Mi5 and 6. My advice is REALLY understand the word exploitation. Edward Snowden/ John Perkins - go research it -, if you don't, educate yourself.....
One thing thing you have understand with energy, they will play the emotional card. like banks, its a cartel..... The government already have the handle, the only reason is they have intelligence services behind them, but sometimes to me is very questionable..... As an Iraq and Afghan vet and other tours I know.
look at the Lloyds banks, by your side advert... ring any bells, emotional leverage but in 2008 crash - were they by your side....??
Call me cynical, but all the wnakers in government are playing everyone like a piped piper, Bojo has made 2 million in 6 weeks  when he resigned....
Its going to get only worse, the problem is - you have they pay, Whitehall w****s like to spin....
I was on the phone to some of these ****** when I the war was  in Iraq, they think their all important, its all BS..... a majority Never put their boots on the ground... a bullshitters fare
Mainstream media will play on your emotional strings through tv, but its mission creep of an agenda.... the club, you an I aint in it....

The first thing I saw on the linked goldsecure's site was:

    GOLD Bullions & COINS
I groaned when I saw the word "Bullions":
Being pedantic, I then noticed the weird mixture of capitals for two of the three key words.
I don't think I would like to deal with this company.

I feel that carded bars - at least large ones of 1oz or more - are best suited for vaulting arrangements.  You buy them from and sell them to the dealer or the dealer's market, and they stay in an audited space as if they were miniature good delivery bars.  I think folks might actually trust cast 50g or 100g loaf bars more than carded bars, because you can at least weigh them and test them on a touch stone or with acid.
If you look at videos by NZ or Oz dealers (where CGT exemption isn't such a thing as in the UK) their unboxing videos are much bigger on cast bars in the 1-10oz range than on carded assay bars.  Coins are still popular, mainly Perth Mint ones in Oz, but you don't get the same emphasis on it that you do here.
I guess part of the appeal of a cast bar is also that you can handle it without worrying about damaging the surface, whereas the assay carded ones are really look but don't touch.
From that perspective, I have a hypothesis that 1oz or 50g cast bars might actually be more liquid than their carded equivalents.  100g is likely to be a bit rich for most folks' blood as they're approaching 5 grand each.  I've seen 50g bars trade here a few times but never a 100g bar.

premium is quite high, and I'm sorry but if it's been mentioned before, but so far it's only BBP which I've seen selling these (out of the UK dealers) when I tried finding one before, they were all on European based sites like european mint, EMK

I noticed they had the specifications, weight and size right, but the description was for the one ounce, and their descriptions haven't always been accurate, so maybe they did the wrong description? As they entered the correct specifications

If you're based on Oz, the specifics of the secondary market might be a little different.  For example, here in the UK, Royal Mint coins such as Britannias and Sovereigns are technically legal tender here, so they get relief from capital gains tax.  If you look at the videos from aussie dealers on YT, you'll see that 1oz cast bars seem to be popular there, whereas the CGT laws here favour Royal Mint coins quite significantly.
You might want to do a little homework about what the differences between the local tax conditions for bullion are there as there might be some differences with the laws here, and what folks prefer to trade there.
Apart from that, welcome, and enjoy your participation here.

    Hello from Scotland all.
I found a link to this forum on Backyard Bullion’s YouTube site. I really liked his balanced take on the pros and cons of precious metals, so I had a look around here. I found a link to a film called The Four Horsemen which I am currently about three quarters through. A real eye opener. Thanks to original poster for the link and the others which I will look at in time. ( Can’t remember the name but it had Hereford and bullion in it)
I am new to buying but I have purchased a ‘23 Rabbit 1oz Au and some Ag from Perth Mint from Chards. Also a ‘23 Britannia 1oz Au. I look forward to contributing to the forum in due course
