  1. He mentioned that he was after a specific date so allowed a little extra - or postage
  2. I can’t work out why he’s nicking his daughters money and everyone is applauding his good deed😁. If he’s saving for a sovereign then I’m saying he’s got the lot. £375
  3. Since when did Skeletor stop being a bad guy and start economic commentary?
  4. They’re always in such a rush. They don’t even stop to see to the missus anymore 🤣
  5. If Royal Mail not longer get you to sign then I can’t see how it is any different at all
  6. So we have to take the posties word for it that they have delivered it? That sounds a bit iffy to me, not sure how it works when someone says that it wasn’t delivered.
  7. I agree, on this forum it comes down to the buyers attitude to risk. However something else to consider - I had a bit of a strange one the other day with 1st Class Signed For. I bought a sovereign for about £370ish (can’t remember the exact number) and the seller gave me the option of SD for about £9 or FCSF for about £2.50. I chose FCSF as I was happy to take the risk on it. However on the day of arrival the package came through the letterbox with no knock at the door and no request for signature. Fortunately the package was intact and Sovereign was fine but it bugged me that I hadn’t had to sign for it and I didn’t understand how proof of delivery would work. The seller had provided me with a tracking reference so I looked it up on Royal Mails website and it said the there was a generic squiggle signature with some random initials which i can only assume was the postie who signed it as they couldn’t be bothered to knock at the door. Fortunately everything worked out ok for me and I can’t be bothered to follow it up but presumably in these circumstances a buyer could challenge the fact that it had been delivered at all? Anyone else come across this before?
  8. I’m c**p at economics but I think the US inflation rate was announced today and was >8%. In my understanding wouldn’t that increase demand for gold & other PM?
  9. Royal Mint mix up by the looks of things. 😅
  10. Thanks, I’ll let you know how I get on. Reading the above, my guess is that it is a Royal Mint error
  11. The order is still open as it’s is for the whole Tudor Beast series. The open orders section doesn’t have any tracking numbers for packages they’ve sent so far ☹️. RM told me they sent them together so I can only assume they were in separate packages because I only received one coin. I guess there could have been a mix up in their records.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I’ve checked my RM account and all the emails they sent and they didn’t provide any tracking reference for either of the packages. I’ll wait to see what the outcome of the investigation is and hopefully there is just a simple mistake that can easily be sorted. When buying second hand I normally take photos of packages before I open them but didn’t think there was a risk when buying directly from RM
  13. Hi guys I recently purchased the Royal Mint’s subscription to the Tudor Beasts 1oz silver proof series. You pay £95 for each coin and RM bill you and send you each new coin as it is released. I signed up after the second coin in the series had been released and so checked with RM that they would send all coins, even the one I missed, they confirmed. RM charged £190 for two coins and so I expected the Seymour Panther and the Lion of England to arrive in the post, however only the Lion was delivered, which I signed for on the doorstep. I left it a few days expecting the Panther to be delivered separately but when nothing came I got in contact with RM who told me that they dispatched both of them together (presumably in separate packages) and that their Royal Mail tracking says that both were delivered together. They have launched a Royal Mail investigation whatever that entails but doubt it is going to be CSI standard. I am nervous that I unwittingly signed for two packages while the postie only gave me one and kept one for himself. Royal Mint told me that everything is insured but I don’t know if the burden of proof sits with me or not. Has anyone had a similar problem like this before? I am quite new to collecting, I’ve made a few purchases from you guys without problem, plus a few bits from dealers and eBay but this is my first purchase from Total Mint. Any help/advice/words of comfort would be appreciated. £95 isn’t the end of the world but it does put me off a bit. Thanks
  14. How come I keep signing up to Riyal Mint mailing lists but I don’t get any notifications from them about new products?
  15. 1kg FS Queens Beasts Completer Coin came in the post this morning courtesy of @Magritte She’s a beauty!! (The coin, not the Queen)
  16. Hi there. I am new to everything here be that coins, stacking, forums. But lots of good things on here, as well as some weird stuff as well. Hope you have fun.
  17. Ditto, I bought 5 and they came this morning. Great price and quick delivery
  18. It would be a bit weird if you just sold me a half sovereign a few hours ago for less than this and you then went and replenished your stock from the Royal Mint at a higher price
