  1. Hi TSF members! For a bit of fun, and curiosity on my part, i’m going to try a reverse auction on this much coveted gem of a 1oz silver round. The merry Christmas Taz, bullion condition, comes in a commemorative purple velvet Warner bros box. Now the rules are simple, lowest bid wins! That’s right, LOWEST. Price starts at £30, here’s the catch, all bids must be in decrements of 1p, one bid at a time. so 2nd bid will be £29.99 then £29.98 etc. so I could end up giving it away for free! winner pays postage of own choice and risk, payment by BT only. Reverse auction starts now and ends tomorrow, Wednesday the 12th April at 9pm. Any bids after 9:01pm won’t count. Happy bidding.
  2. I’ll take the archangel Scottsdale bar if it’s still available.
  3. Ohh so not any time soon then! I have sent an email to the Royal mint, so hopefully they get back to me and can offer some more info. If they respond anything useful I’ll pop it on here.
  4. Yea I totally agree, I don’t own any britannia fractional coins in silver so I was hoping to grab a tube. I found them on the Royal mint website but it just said “in the new year”. Thanks for the advice, will have to keep my eyes peeled!
  5. Does anyone know when the Charles III 1/10th oz silver brits will be released? Can’t find any info online.
  6. I’m in, with a 2016 1oz silver kangaroo and a set of 1964 US mint coins.
  7. They look great. I can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into all of these! Stick me on the ballot as well please.
  8. All valid points. I think I would still buy the odd bit if a good 2nd hand deal popped up. I completely agree that paying the VAT on new palladium bars makes no sense, may as well buy gold.
  9. I recently acquired two palladium rings and I’m in two minds regarding selling them or adding them to my collection and possibly buying more. Palladium is rarer than gold! Upon reading Iv found out Russia currently produces 40% of the worlds palladium, so recent sanctions have driven the price up a bit, but it has been steadily climbing beforehand. It’s currently £1,637 an ounce. It’s used in modern catalytic converters amongst other things but Iv just read that it’s used a lot in hydrogen cells, power of the future! So it has the potential to vastly outperform gold and silver. I’d be interested to hear other peoples views on the metal and how you think it will perform.
  10. I’m no expert but prices of around £24 an oz seem to sell. but depends on the condition and type of coin/bar. Iv also seen people sell in bundles, maybe 4 coins for £90 type thing.
  11. Welcome to the forum 👍
  12. Welcome to the forum 👍
  13. Couldn’t agree more, I bought it off eBay 👍.
  14. Yea that’s a real shame @ArgentSmith, do you wish you had kept them, or glad you sold them?
  15. Thanks @James32 That’s the kind of reply I was hoping for. I was planning on selling it because of what you just said, there seems to be no buzz around the Tudor beast atm so I was going to get rid, but I think your right, when more in the series get released the interest might pick up. I think I’ll hold onto it for now 👍
  16. They are quite scarce online, and listed for around £245, that’s £60 more than the original price which seems high to me. I can’t see many getting sold at that price 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I’m not an expert, hoping you guys would know more than me.
  17. Well I have no way of knowing what they are selling for, only the price they are listed for on websites. I don’t believe in selling it for what I bought it for because then it’s not an investment. Things go up in value based on scarcity and collectibility not just intrinsically. I was hoping someone who collects this type of coin would have a ball park figure that’s all.
