  1. I have been giving this a bit more thought, and perhaps the RM is simply keeping the release schedule a secret because collectors have already been flooding them with calls about returning defective coins that have not even been released yet. Anne Jessopp was infuriated and told her hacks in charge of web design to remove the schedule because we are degenerates and just not worthy of it.
  2. You could be right. And, when Barry was born, there was a problem getting him out of the hospital because the hospital charges were oppressive. Upon release from the hospital, Barry, a brilliant baby with the gift of gab (and lots of it), said, "Mum, I will stay in the hospital forever until they charge you the RRP."
  3. If they do scrap the series, that would make the Henry VII coins quite collectible as "the series that wasn't". It would also save us all a boatload of money. But, perhaps the RM is simply re-tooling their release schedule.
  4. Yes, I ordered both coins on release. I have received my other Royal Jubilee coins and the 2 oz. Henry VII, but I'm still waiting for the 5 oz. Royal Jubilee and 1 oz. Henry VII.
  5. Still waiting for my silver 1 oz. Henry VII and silver 5 oz. Platinum Jubilee. The RM has bitten off more than it can chew, but it does not care. The goal is to sell and collect as much and as quickly as they can.
  6. You know, Barry may have a point about the flippers and dealers making money from the RM pieces. But....I think we should extend this to the RM, too! The RM is making huge profits from the manufacture and sales of their coins. So, I think we should take the price of raw silver and gold and add the actual costs (direct and indirect) in the production and sales, add a tiny profit as a reserve for unexpected expenses, and sell the coins for new lower prices called the RWPRAC (Recommended Wholesale Price for Reimbursement of Actual Costs). And, any flipper or dealer would only be allowed by law to sell the coins for only a tiny percentage more than the RWPRAC - perhaps 2% (called the RBPP (Recommended Barry Profit Percentage). Any dealer or flipper who violates this would be subject to life in prison, electrocution, or having their privates amputated in a public display.
  7. I'm relatively new here. Can you fill me in on this Barry guy?
  8. I heard that the RM uses Anne Jessopp as its final QC reviewer. Some RM hack brings the coins to Anne's office and reverently lays them on her desk one by one. She then looks at each coin with one eye closed and the other eye widely open for a full 2 seconds, passes them to a hack from the shipping department to send them to us, and then goes on to the next coin. Lately, however, she has only been able to spend 1 second on each coin because she says she has to deal with all the returns from you guys. So.....PLEASE stop returning your coins so the rest of us can get full inspection service from Anne!
  9. The SOTD has an usual tint to it because of the matte finish. It's not gold color, but to me it's also not as reddish as the rose gold of the proof Sovereign. I do like it because it's a bit different. Glad I bought this.
  10. Interesting that except for the 2 coin set and 1 oz. gold, none of the coins in this series has sold out yet.
  11. Got my SOTD today. Purchased from a dealer. Capsule was screwed on tightly and firmly set in the case. Coin looks good to me. Don’t see any defects with the naked eye.
  12. This is why I will no longer purchase coins from the RM until I see a marked improvement in QC. I don't want to pay good money for faulty products. If I really want a coin, I will get it from a dealer and request that they inspect the coin prior to shipment. This whole situation with the RM is simply incredible.
  13. If you find a reasonable price from a dealer, you may want to go that route, and just send the coin back to the RM for a refund. If you do end up buying from a dealer, I would write to them and ask them to please inspect the coin prior to shipment and explain the problems you've been having with the RM.
  14. Interesting. Perhaps returns or extra coins they’ve made to replace returned coins?
  15. I keep getting this feeling that when the RM says "Awaiting Stock" and the projected shipment date is a month or two down the road, the RM is actually waiting for returns to send to unsuspecting customers. Just this feeling I get from all the discussions here.
  16. "If you stack PM's now and just eat sausage and beans, fart regularly, stay sensible, you may dine one day with kings and queens!" Well.....I eat sausage and beans like it were going out of style, I fart more than regularly,......but I am NOT sensible! Can I still dine with princes and princesses??
  17. You guys are nasty! The poor RM desperately needs your money, and here you guys are sending coins back and requesting refunds. Where is your dedication and sense of duty? The poor old RM will soon go out of business with a pile of your returns sitting on the floor and collecting dust. If you can't sleep at night thinking about all that, let this be your warning!!
  18. Just got notice today that my SOTD is on the way. Will have it early next week (if not sooner).
  19. That’s great. So the buyer has a choice as to which box he/she likes.
  20. Whenever I write to the RM requesting a release date, I receive a stock reply that they cannot give out this information and to just keep checking their website. They have even cited Brexit as an excuse.
