Hello and welcome to The Silver Forum :)

Welcome on this great forum, it will be a place were you will learn a lot more about collecting and stacking !

Cheers guys, obviously collecting is where my heart lies and I have honestly loved silver for many a year.

I never heard of any official exempted bullion coin ever needing to be melted due to a shortage in my lifetime, have you?

    Especially the britannia.

Thanks for not booting me out for my contrary logical opinions.

Take me to your leader... Hi Chris  :)

Silver the ever faithful necessary byproduct  :)

The royal mint would really be the people to ask. I just randomly picked up on it a bit too soon for my own good one day lol.

Pure logical prediction here...They will limit sales long before any thoughts of confiscation.

Enjoy your silver, enjoy the changes and remember that its not the end of the world .  :)

Just look it up how high the cost is to retract a kg of silver out of E-waste, if you see that price you can see how wrong you are or the silversqueeze has finally succeeded in the last minutes

You have to get the silver and other metals out of solution before you even think about getting to the gold and other high end pm's in the process (its an overall cost).

Please research if you have not done so recently.

But about the E-waste you are 100% correct. Silver is in most cases still a waste because the cost of the recycling process is higher than the silver price. That will change of course with higher prices as what you see with gold were almost nothing is lost in recycling.

Government incentives and new tec in the industry sorted that one out.

i have been invested in Envirometal Technologies, a precious metal recycling company, since at least last year. The share price has halved. The other two i looked at have gone bust.

Sorry for your losses. Its all down to timing sixgun. (so I hear so very often in the markets).

That tells me its a good time to invest in them now.

Most E-waste is not a viable option until and unless the price of silver rises.

I beg to differ. Refuse company's already have to put the e waste to good use rather than dispose of it under current regulation's, let alone new ones, and many countries already pay good scrap prices for e waste.

Is not the whole world one big community. Or is it just stackers V ROTW in your opinion  :)

i think see #silversqueeze has failed - it is a process. More people are interested in silver. The more media coverage, the more interest is generated, the more likely it will be it comes onto the radar of the bigger players.

This could be a disaster for world industry all the way down to the little guy, unless your actively stacking to bail them out in their time of need I think they (the establishment) and social media goons etc. will not look kindly upon stackers.

Thankfully many years of stockpiled e waste is ready and waiting for industrial chemical processing. (Land filling E waste actually ended in the UK prior to the charging for the disposal of refrigerators).

I also stack high yield boards and chips (for fun in deconstruction and sometimes demolition), one day soon I may sell them to the RM. or another recommended processor? (Bad for the environment and probably illegal and dangerous if I were to DIM).

Most older circuit boards are dripping with gold & silver, not like the ones of today, I have seen a steady decline in the amount of pm's used in most boards (bar some military/hospital applications).

For this reason alone I think that we can add at least 8 years to any estimated time of physical silver exhaustion that we may once have perceived.

    Fascinating subject,

My grammar will never improve  :)

    Thank you for your patience.

Stack slow, stack steady, let others discover for themselves Darwinian style, there's no rush towards the end game...That's for thoughtless Lemmings encouraging everyone else to jump over the cliff with them. Also it prolongs price suppression. Not good for those that need a bit of fiat along the way. So not allowed to work as it should, as a hedge against inflation before disaster!

    Much Love.

no UK selling license needed, as far as I’m aware

Thanks, been away from selling for eons, especially online. All platforms are different and I have trouble deciphering T&cs at the best of times.

looks quite good value to gain access to the inner sanctum. I will inform my great uncle frugal who is considering joining up :)

    Thank you.

This post of mine may prove to be a few years ahead of the times

I wouldn't say that, I would say That you are closer than you think. Soon they wont let you buy anymore pm's

At the moment Australia buy circuit boards from the public, ship them out by container to another country to be processed, ship all of the pure metals back and still make a good profit. There will be enough for the basics for about another 8 years.

Future Kooks from the UK RM to save a journey?

That's the last time I'm breaking internet silence again. Over and out :)

So stop buying so much and let the price go up for me please :)

The price will go up when people stop buying, or (have to) stop buying.

    Have you got that long?

Till then your boosting the fiat system with a %100 free tax dollar loan while your gold and silver usually just sits there being redundant.

Billions in the the UK since 1979.

    Matrix Pm's reloaded.

I heard one honest dealer talking about no longer holding ready cash and having to bank it into digital. I'm sure bullion by post and kitco use the banking system too.

    Do you get it?

The most amusing youtube UK Market influencer's are the ones that don't even know how much a pint of the udder stuff is here in the UK lol. :) haha

Nope...see what I mean, best for me to pipe down now.

But if you tell them why, will they listen? No one knows until we try on a massive scale.

Thanks,  I wouldn't be wanting to give them any misinformation or rely on my research from way back. Things ain't what they used to be 2 years ago. Its a case of buy less and watch the price go up now but its so hard for me to explain why! that I will just give up. And besides I don't want to upset the miners or those with miner shares on another fully related issue.

It was such a big shock for me when I realized that I wouldn't have listened if I were told by someone else.

So stop buying so much and let the price go up for me please :)

    Welcome aboard The Silver Forum!

Thanks mate. Can you sell your own collection as a non business on here? or do you need some kind of a UK selling licence. confused about signingup to premium.

  13. I love all the fairy tale type story's about people giving silver to friends and family members and changing their lives forever.

Any tips on getting your point across to them? I gave up giving them what they least wanted for Christmas.

    EDIT

It must be me, I gave up telling the old school of thought forum members what they least wanted to hear too lol

  14. You should start a new party, I would vote for you lol

I nearly had my fill of social media again now bully, I done what I intended to do in safeguarding the truth.

Now I can go back to just watching your jolly antics.

I may trade with you sometime in the future but not at £10 an oz lol.

Now lets NOT see what you would have won 😷 😇 😁

Da da da da da da da da     Da da da da doodle oodle om.

    Chow for now.

They can do it, but most don't do it, just look at the numbers of some big recyclers.

E waste recycle plants have no option if they want the gold. They don't pour everything other than gold in the solution down the drain, that would be an environmental disaster and a massive waste of all the other metals including silver, platinum and palladium.

I don't know how the miners operate or if they are environmentally friendly?

but there will always be winners and losers. especially in the new greener times ahead of us.

I don't do stocks and shares but if I did my money would be on on the ones with the green tax breaks for the mid term as it wont last forever.

So this is not financial advise but just what I think.

    Regards

Silver is not the same, silver recycling is very little and most is still getting wasted. I think the price of silver must go way higher before recycled silver will reach high numbers like with gold and it will take many, many years before it will be more than what they still get out of mother earth.

Silver can be recovered quite easy and refiners process and recover it alongside the gold and other precious & semi precious metals, non ferrous and even lead. I don't know where people get the idea that they just throw it away when it is part of the {industrial} process for the purification of gold.

Again just my thoughts and hope everyone keeps well informed today, I'm hitting the big outside.

apparantly the gold mining industry has seen a 40% decline. that means there is less being pulled from the ground.

the money printing industry is constantly churning away 24hrs a day. you do the maths 🙄

E waste Gold and silver recovery is getting bigger, even the mints are starting to recycle now, I think soon there will be more recycled silver from e waste than that as a mined byproduct.

I think the old information and figures may need updating.

Green tax breaks may keep the silver price down for a few more years to come? and gold? Just my thoughts.

f you present yourself as a private individual selling bits and pieces online to rearrange your collection of coins - you don't give yourself some sort of name like Frugal Precious Metals - you don't run with a separate bank account - you aren't clearly flipping coins on a regular basis etc etc - then you are ok.

sixgun, I always put off thinking about selling, so I became slightly paranoid and confused over the issue.

Hey but "Frugal Precious Metals sounds fantastic"  No I would lose out as a quick turnover dealer lol

I was with you on the squeeze so I shall have to keep those rounds for a while I guess :)

    Thanks for your advise,

    Kind regards Frugal.
