  1. Which part of da moon though? Are India planning to hoover it all up with their moon lander???
  2. Smaller coins like 1/10 gold, or maybe the odd 1oz silver coin I'm ok with posting myself. Anything more I would sell to a coin dealer, face to face. I have in the past tested this with some sovereigns and it was a very easy way of selling with minimal risk.
  3. I've had this on a couple of modern sovereigns, like a lip around the edge as though it's been hit with too much pressure or not dead level.
  4. Will be interesting to see what effect this has on PM: US credit rating downgraded. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-66379366 I thought there was effectively no debt ceiling now? BBC seem to have messed up on that point? Also this is for data from 2018-2020, things would be much worse now surely? https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/fitch-cuts-usas-aaa-rating-cites-fiscal-deterioration-erosion-governance
  5. I have sold a few 1oz silver rounds on Ebay, but won't be doing so again. Too many idiots to be selling precious metals on there IMO.
  6. Looks like Chards pay 1% over spot for sovereigns.
  7. Purely due to price increase, price given was just over spot.
  8. Well that depends, earlier this year I sold some sovereigns to a bullion dealer at an average 14% profit. The price available on here at the time was similar, so I went with the quicker, easier option. Another time the dealer wasn't offering me a good price on a 1/4 Brit so sold on here instead, it's good to have options.
  9. Easiest sell for me are sovereigns to bullion dealers, decent price for the convenience and speed of transaction. Other coins I would sell on here to get a better price.
  10. Just reminded me of that scene from Brazil where there is a mistake and the government snatch the wrong bloke. Buttle / Tuttle. Oops the AI made a mistake, sorry.
  11. I used to say bullion only, until I stumbled on a very good deal for a proof half sovereign... since then I have a mix of proof and bullion 😂 Proof coins are harder to sell though so I don't go too crazy with them.
  12. Get a 1/10 coin, then your sovereign won't look so small 😉
  13. I found this an interesting watch...
  14. I notice that these coins are for "The philosopher's stone", meaning RM will probably milk it for all it's worth and release 4 coins for each book... there are quite a few books! Personally I think the 1st set is worth having due to the change in monarch, 2 being QE2 and 2 of KC3... one of which is supposedly the last coin produced with QE2 on it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-63857309 I've got 3 of the Sterling silver 50p proofs so far, just one more KC3 left and I'm calling it a day on this collection... I can't see further releases being that special.
  15. I regret buying anything other than sovereigns 🤣... I figured it out eventually. Got a slight addiction of buying a half sovereign proof each year, which with all the special releases recently has been rather expensive! Missing out on the 2022 Jubilee release proof, I have some bullion but no proof coins.
  16. I have a 2018 and a 2013 and find it hard to tell which is which without looking very closely lol.
  17. I got the same issue with the 2022 memorial half sov, missing bits of frosting not visible to naked eye but there under magnification. Pretty annoying, but I decided to keep it. Clearly the dealer didn't look at the coin under magnification, or they decided it was acceptable.
  18. And back to the price, quite a flat week, looks to be a lot of support at this level... we have been on the way down since mid May so I expect some consolidation.
