  1. Which I have too interpreted as: "Something I have communicated to them directly, since 2000 at least." Surely the 'Nothing' is countered by the 'I have not' meaning it is something you have done?
  2. You're right about there being an error somewhere. Either on the COA booklet or the website. 250 coin discrepency. Come on Royal Mint.... you'd think they know the mintage of their own coins!
  3. Upon further inspection it looks like there is a tiny bit of frosting missing from the crown on the Gothic Portrait side. Not going to bother returning it for that though.
  4. Seems I may have got lucky with mine. Capsule in place and closed with no damage that I can see to the frosting or polished fields. Think the small specs on the pictures appear to be dust particles. I’m so sorry to see all the disappointed people who have once again been let down by the RM quality control.
  5. So glad I found this forum, hours of entertainment for a subscription cheeper than Netflix. 🤣
  6. Today I received a 1.33g hand panned Gold Scottish Nugget from @arphethean and his new brand ‘Haven Precious Metals”. What a fabulous looking piece, something truly different to add to the collection. Really nicely presented as well. Go check out his sales thread for some stunning pieces, as my pictures just don’t do it justice.
  7. Honestly I don't think it hurts to have a small amount of platinum. It certainly helps to diversify your portfolio and plus it's nice to look at. I myself only have two 1/10oz Platinum Britannia's. It's hard to say with platinum where it will head in long term, but as @sovereignsteve said, it's being used in a lot of industrial processes and I can't see demand for it going away. Take catalytic converters for example. Likelyhood is that these will be phased out more and more as electrical vehicles become the norm, but who knows what revolutionary technology will come along that uses it i.e. high capacity batteries etc. https://www.mining-technology.com/features/platinum-potential-how-batteries-could-open-the-door-to-a-mining-rush/ I personally will be picking up a small fracitonal amount every now and then.
  8. I think buying such a high value item from a third party without researching the respective RRP was the mistake here. Not saying what the dealer did was right, but at the end of the day it's the buyer who decides if an item is worth based on the price it's on sale for.
  9. Seeing as a few graded ASE’s have been shared today, I picked up my first and only graded coin last year when the ASE type 2 was first released. This was back in June 2021 when I first started to get into this hobby and hadn't yet joined TSF, so I never got around to sharing. I have no idea if it was a good purchase or if it will hold its value / go up in value. Just thought that as it was the first year of a new design it may have been a worthwhile purchase.
  10. That's correct. Just the 2oz Silver Gothic Portrait from the continuation set.
  11. Were there any milk spots on these? I've heard RM milk chocolate is prone to this.
  12. Another one has sold already on feebay
  13. Every order confirmation from the RM states this. It's to cover themselves if they have to cancel any orders due to overselling. I haven't had a single order cancelled due to this though.
  14. 21 left by my checks EDIT: and it's gone.
  15. Well I managed to grab one, very happy that I was able to.
  16. 200 people ahead of me now. Hope I can secure one...
  17. I got 1023 for me on my Ipad queue.
  18. Were they all PF70 from the same 5-coin set you received? Or did you have to swap any around from other sets? Either way, congratulations on this set.
  19. Image of the frosted coin is now available too, for anyone who wanted to see it.
  20. Anyone going for this? https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/ranges/the-royal-tudor-beasts/seymour-panther-2022/the-seymour-panther-silver-proof-two-coin-set/?utm_campaign=2022-02-royal-tudor-beasts-panther
  21. While I also am uncertain of the longevity of this set in terms of profit, I will be holding my set as I really like the design of these coins. I think for myself as primarily a collector, it's important to not forget about why I enjoy buying these coins in the first place. However, it does all depends on your rationale behind stacking / collecting. So completely understand your point too.
  22. Hmmm... I live 30 minutes from the mint. Someone want to pay me to make a pilgramige to get a SOTD coin struck at the royal mint experiance? 🤣
  23. Have you tried to bite into it to make sure it's real chocolate?
