If you don't care if it's not coins, silver salvers on ebay go under spot occasionally. Only today a 10oz silver salver went for £150 with free postage, and with spot at £18, it's worth £166.
A few months back some lucky soul got a silver salver weighing nearly a kilo for £295!
Other antique silver that normally sells around spot is holloware (bowls, tea pots, etc) and flatware (spoons & forks), the newer stuff will be the cheapest coz people collect the old stuff! You'll have to invest some time traipsing round ebay but it could well be worth it.

Well you learn something new everyday, thanks for that info @stefffana, I've only ever dealt in British silver, so my knowledge of foreign silver is pretty slim.
You're definately the man for foreign silver!

The makers mark is impossible to make out but the other marks look French to me. The style is Georgian (1820 ish) but could obviously have been made later.
@stefffana might be able to shed more light on it.

My experience was quite painless, I was buying two 1oz Brits from Atkinsons and it didn't go through. Within minutes the Natwest fraud team phoned me and, after going through the normal identity checks, the conversation went as follows:
Him: there has been an attempted payment of £3,058 from your account.
Me: yes, to Atkinsons.
Him: oh so you know about it, no problem I'll remove the block. And that was it, tried again at Atkinsons and it went through straight away.
I suspect, from what you guys have said, it would have been a different story if it was the Royal Mint.

Yeah @stefffana, it's a thankless job.
I'm sure they see the answer but can't be bothered logging in to hit the thanks button.
It's a good job we love doing it!

Hi,
Its not Chinese, if you rotate it 180 degrees you'll see it says EPNS, which is Electro Plated Nickel Silver (and won't be worth anything unfortunately).

Hi,
A quick google for 'silver plating services' brings up a few, you'll have to get a quote specific to your items for the price.
I don't know what you are planning to do with them once re-plated but if you were planning to sell them, I don't think you will recoup the cost of re-plating on the tea/coffee service as nobody really wants them anymore.
The champagne bucket would sell though and (from the picture) it looks like it just needs a good polish.- MBTPSilver and stefffana

Just had a quick look on eBay and found this;
Some lucky soul got half a kilo of silver for £274. Cheapest 500gm bar at Atkinsons is £437.

I would always choose silver flatware/Holloware over bullion coins or bars, if I can find it at the right price (and there's no VAT).
If I was in the market for a kilo of silver I'd buy a large Victorian salver👍

Apparently strawberrys are supposed to taste better off a silver spoon, I might try it!

It has to be after 1820/21 (because the leopard has no crown) and before 1837 (when the duty mark changed to Victoria), so it must be 1828 as @sixgun says.
