  1. Catching dinner with the son and cooking with the daughter is one of the nicest things here. I enjoy the last days with my little boy before his older cousins mess him up. Since they use him as a translator here, I have to explain the benefits of contraception to him.
  2. Not very tempted about this one. Maybe it's the sun that calmed me down. Perhaps it is also the descendants of the Hanoverians that are keeping me away from this issue. Or maybe i just don't like a king with a perm. But somehow i don't much like this coin. I knew it since the first schedule by the mint, this one will be propably the worst coin in the series, but i'm very dissapointed with this boring issue. I call the mint anyway in late September when i'm back in Berlin to ask for a 1 and 2 OZ silver to continue this series and i'm pretty sure, they will have some of them. If not, good for my credit card.
  3. Since i stopped using FedEx/UPS/DHL service for custom clearance i never had issues with german customs again. Never had any problems with parcels from the Royal Mint, Chards, Sovereign Rarities, East India Company, ukgoldcoins, etc., coming straight to my home and i pay customs at postie. Sometimes there are problems with the customs declaration of private sellers and i have to pick the coins at the customs up. Usually two, three hours waiting time, than they do research for value, tooks sometimes another hour and than they charge it. Easiest way for new coins is to declare them as a gift with the retail as value. If you declare to low, you propably pay more, because the customs than takes eBay!!!, or worst as reference for value. Over the years i met a lot of custom officers that are collecting coins themselves and they ask before opening the package, if it is base metal, silver, gold, collectable, official currency, etc. But my biggest issue buying from private sellers outside EU is, that i have to pay two times VAT. Dealers and mints are selling VAT free to Europe and i have only to pay my local customs. Sometimes dealers are using kind of special scheme and i pay VAT direct to the dealer, without german customs to charge me again. However, it must be a very good prize, or the mint for retail, to make me buying outside the EU. It's just annoying, waiting weeks for your coins and see them travelling around, before they reach my little coin box.
  4. Fourth and final issue of the Black Flag series, William Moody's ship, The Rising Sun.
  5. When one chooses to stack the coins of the Mandalore, you become both, hunter and prey😉 Thank you, @daca👍
  6. 😅 Wifey and kids arrived last week, she teils me the same thing all day long. I tell her to go to the other side of our house to have a better view.
  7. A 1999 french 1€ coin. A bit worn but still buys me 2 bottles of water in Greece. Sorry for the bad picture, i was a little distracted
  8. All looking great, but the tortoise is absolutely stunning
  9. There are no greek bullion coins issued, but you can find greek .900 gold 5, 10 and 20 Drachm according to LMU standard for small premiums (5 Drachm 1,45 gr. fine, 10 Drachm 2,90 gr. fine, 20 Drachm 5,80 gr. fine). They where issued from 1876. Not sure, if you will find a bargain in Athens, i guess you find them outside Greece cheaper. .
  10. Lot's of. Despite most of their 350 coins per year are not my taste, most of my favorite modern coins are made by them. No other mint is producing more accurate high relief coins. The detailed work is absolute amazing. And they are constantly evolving. The "Trapped" series is a good example of this. The fabric effect looks more and more realistic every year and the details are also getting better and better.
  11. Coin Invest Trust, Liechtenstein. https://www.cit.li They are trying many minting techniques and coin "customizing", like colored coins, coin inserts (Swarowski chrystals, glas, meteorites, etc.) for around 30 years now. Usually everything "new" was produced first by them. They are projecting many coins for Powercoin , Numiscollect, etc. and are releasing tons of self distributed coins. Minted are the coins by B.H.Mayer, Munich. I guess the Tiffany Art is the most known series from them. I'm a huge fan since they released 2020 the Majestic Eagle. Many of my favorite coins are Smartminting coins, like the Palau Panther (my avatar), or the Steampunk coins. But they ain't release only coins for me. They sell also beauties, like the Harry and Meghan coin, or this beautiful 1 OZ Baguette coin. 🙈
  12. Everybody in/on Palau pays everything with Marine Life Protection, Tiffany Art and Hunters by Night smartminting coins. Why else should release CIT so many of them? 🤣
  13. It wasn't the RCM 2004 introducing the first colored coin, but CIT in 1992 with the first Palau Marine Life Protection coin. I guess, they need a better marketing🤣 But i like the look of the silver shilling way more. Never knew about these old enameled coins.
  14. I was allways wondering, which gold was used for those 19,2 million 1947/1949 20 Fr. Vrenelis (around 111t fine gold).
  15. So the gold is moving to China, Turkey, etc., got melted down and we will buy it as chinese, tutkish, etc. bars and coins? Not sure if this makes sense for us.
  16. On a serious note, this could have been a great addition to the Great Engravers series. I would love to see a proof restrike of this William Wyon coin too.
  17. And i thought, i win 5 years of free international admin fee. Or one of those 2 blue BMW. Next time i should reed the small print. 🤣
  18. It's the Ionian Islands 2 Lepta of 1819 and 1820 by the Royal Mint. There exists some varieties and a proof version two. The 1819 2 Oboli looks almost similar, with different brench and without the point after Britannia.

    Omp or no?

The RM will release the 3G bars also in the same plastic sheets, as the Una bars. In Germany the 3G bars are offered only in these plastic sheets, shipping in August. If you buy a whole sheet, i wouldn't remove them. Single bars, no matter if 1, or 10 OZ, look so much nicer in capsules.
  20. Next bounty, thank you. No reactions left, but i need a new office This one is a banger. Looks, like this will be my favorite coin out of the Mandalorian proof series so far.
