  1. Looks a bit like the roman version of game of thrones, Lannisterus vs. Targarius
  2. By far my favorite bullion coin. Just beautiful
  3. If not, 10% are going to some kind of charity🤣🤣🤣
  4. Next coin in Royal Australian Mint's "AUSTRALIA'S MOST DANGEROUS" series, the Australian Box Jellyfish. Maybe also one of the last coins with the effigy of QEII
  5. Thanks for sharing. Shocking how little demand there is for platinum
  6. I thought the four-fart coins will wake him up
  7. On issue day. This is what @BarryWoodshas always dreamed of.
  8. I guess above is the one in RM Blister and the other is a "circulated" one, they will put in KC blister pack
  9. It's kind of selfish charity by the buyers, if they use it to pay better salaries for new and better staff. 🤞
  10. I guess, if the QEII memorial kilo silver proofs are coming before this christmas, @GoldDiggerDave will go crazy.
  11. Big question for me is, why all of them are going to buy today. And why did I joy the queue today? Most are mint to order till end of the year, so enough time...
  12. 🤣🤣 I remember as a kid the first days me never turned my eyes off the screen, while loading. And good things always coming back. Remember your first RM queue as a grown man? Even today I'm shouting at home "only 46732 people in front of me for unlimited coins with questionable QEII portraits on them". And it's holiday in Germany, everybody is home. You should see my family's faces
  13. Summer & Winter Games prepared me for my adolescence🤣 And the loading time between the different disciplines prepared me for today's RM queue
  14. They even restocked Henry VII 5 OZ silver proofs. Nice coin, nice size, only 275 and the first of 21 coins. That surprises me.
  15. -No rumors, they released 2OZ, 5OZ, 10OZ, 1 Kilo and 2 Kilo silver proofs. Dunno about the gold coins, watching them makes me cry about my poverty. Guess the same sizes plus one 6,8, or 10 kilo gold coin. -No more Gothik Crown releases so far, those two coins are part of a series by The RM called "Great Engravers". I would love GE bullion coins, but the mint didn't asked me. -You have to buy one on the secondary market. As you are UK based, this forum might be a fine place to get them. -They allready did, they released two coins, instead of one and raised the mintages. People went mad and bought dozens. I saw here multiple towers of GC boxes. -Now you ask, they look pretty silverish proof -No clue, but I guess the RM. -28.28gr of .925 silver -https://ukgoldcoins.co.uk/product/new-gothic-crown-silver-proof/
  16. You are totally right with the resale value. But the major problem with the resale value of coins i bought for my collection is, i don't care. I really don't care about it. I only would sell them, if they start boring me. And than i care even less about it. I just buy to enjoy them and would never spend money, that me, or my family, could need otherwise. It's just my hobby.
  17. Bottom down is the RM version, 2 OZ. The graded ones are the Alderney version, crown size. On top are the 2 OZ EIC coins. Got no Alderney proofs, so I can't say nothing about the proof finish, but saw some nice pictures on the board here. The EIC Gothics are not bad, but RM finish looks way better. I was lucky, that the RM offered me a Gothic Arms too, the day they restocked the portrait. months after the release.
  18. Last week's arrival, the Victoria Portrait by the EIC, completed my UK Gothic restrike collection with coins by the RM, the EIC and the Commonwealth Mint. Today I have them for the first time all together and must say, the Commonwealth Mint did the best job overall IMO.
  19. Almost 2500 years of coin minting evolution. The Cook Island's 1 OZ silver Pegasos together with , a Corinthian silver Drachm Pegasos from around 350BC with a portrait of Aphrodite. For sure, that would be my favorite goddess in ancient Greece. If i had the time to watch trees and clouds, i would think about what has been paid with this coin 2000 years ago. I'm a fanboy of many CIT Smartminting coins. Crazy accurate strikings and unbelievable reliefs. And this one is a great example of their abilities.
  20. The EIC Masterpiece collection is a great alternative to the RM Great Engravers series. I just don't like the 3G release of the EIC, really flat relief and the graces are looking somehow strange. The Una Lion restrike by the EIC is stunning and I didn't regret the purchase at all. I received my EIC St. Helena portrait and it looks not bad. RM original restrike (Mr. @LawrenceChard, i'm learning) does have a higher relief and sharper details. The EIC coins still are looking good, no quality issues and have a bigger diameter. But if I had to choose my personal favorite of all UK Gothic Crown restrikes, I would take the Commonwealth Mint issues without second thinking. The QEII young portrait alone makes this one outstanding IMO.
  21. Season 3 is coming February 2023, so I got some new Mandalorian prey. Great looking Bo Katan proof and a bullion IG-11 This is the way...
  22. Her name is Sybil Eberle. Here is a little article by her, about designing this Steampunk coin. https://www.cit.li/2021/05/25/12364/ I guess, the other two Steampunk coins are also created by her, but have no information about this. CIT doesn't give much information about the designers, which imo is a shame. For me they are the most innovative company, if it comes to modern coins. Would be good to know, who is creating/engraving/designing their ideas.
