Trying this again as need the cash or exchange for two sovs new listing as can't reopen old one

£700 plus post cheapest anywhere

Stunning watch box and papers from goldsmith's serviced by ORIS

Retail is £1,900

Silver at 20 an ounce won't pay more as it's not worth more unless it's a vintage so would consider a higher price

Gold coin anything considered that is not from the isle of Lesbos or some other random island located in the South Pacific

Good result yes and no

I made 75 quid on the watch I paid 825 and owned it for 6 months out part exd the 900 against another piece

I know the jeweller he made wedding rings and many other things for me which helps i.e spent thousands with him and he is an independent guy with one shop.on north Wales

the rings yes I sold them on for more than here but at a small loss from what I paid

The jeweller will simply take the diamond out polish remount and sell on a platinum band etc for significantly more money

The diamond alone was at least worth 300 Raw without the 18ct gold

Problem with this forum, everyone wants everything for spot or under especially jewellery.   Ebay is where the jewellery buyers are.

I suppose always try and come to the forum first even if I have to make a loss as believe in the community aspect as such I like that

For me If I enjoy something for a year such as a watch and lose 50 quid so be it, sometimes I make 50 quid so it balances out

I do try and offer things shipwreck, ancients, nice pieces different from the norm but I guess sometimes people just want the pound and pence best value which is also ok to

Me personally I would rather pay up a few quid for design, quality, that kind of thing

Do you think it is an idea to create a separate jewellery trade section so folk know where to go and don't have to search?

I think there are a few members who like jewellery and perhaps it might inspire new members to sign up?

Just thinking online 😊

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.
