closed 1 Oz gold coin sale

Selling one of the extra coins I accumulated over the 2020 period during the COVID pandemic.

For sale, a 2020 Britannia.

Looking to let one coin go for ono £1,640, with postage. Will be sending the coin after payment, item will be shipped via royal mail special delivery.

Lovely coins, you may need to research your pricing though, I will hazard a guess and assume you are using bullionbypost.co.uk for rough information? Their charts are excellent, Their prices not so much. Always best to check tavex/chards/Atkinsons for a pricing average, then try to undercut! I think in the current market on here you could possibly achieve £1610 posted at a push on the britannia, £1630 posted on the Royal arms. 

If you can live with those estimates, it may also be wise to accept payment after receipt from high feedback members, it's just with low feedback and currently being a non paying member.. people are rightly cautious. No disrespect meant towards you personally of course.

Yes, was using bullion by post and atkinsons for a rough idea of price. I don't use the site often for buying, atkinsons 2019 royal arms is on for £1,689 and £1,741 with postage I assumed £1,700 was ok? Perhaps I am mistaken. I'll be honest didn't really look up the 2020 coin to thoroughly 😅. Anyways, all the best.

I think with the royal arms it's the first year of minting. I can definitely be persuaded to take less. Was hoping someone really wanted it 😂😅

Yeah that's dealer's pricing hoping someone really needs that year. It's not a true reflection of the free market ( especially on here where premium's are very tight)

eBay I can see someone trying to sell the coin for £3,000. Even worse than chards/atkinsons/bbp!

I have never had experience grading a coin and not really thought much about it. Apparently only 5,000 minted and it's in pretty fine condition from looking online. Instead of 100,000 minted with the 2023 coin. Do you think if it is rarer and dealers are charging more it's worth it?

Has a premium built in as it has lower mintage, but £1630-£1640 max, I wouldn't advise grading as bullion coins don't tend to do well under magnification ( due to the minting process

Ebay charge 12.5% fees. If you want to clear the £1700 you want then you'll have to sell for around £1940. @James32knows the daily pricing on the forum extremely well. A very very trustworthy member indeed.

Sorry to post on your sales thread but for info this 2019 sold a little while ago on ebay. £1550. There is a large difference between listed price and actual sales price. Don't get caught out

Thanks for that, have updated the add to reflect his advice earlier. I think will keep the royal arms in my hands for now
