Coin tube assessment

Evenin' chaps and chapettes,

I need your help with working out which coin tube fits my needs, please.

The idea: I want to stack 1/10 oz proof Britannias in their RM screw capsule into a coin tube.

So, I'm going to need the outside diameter on the capsule, at its widest, and also the depth of the capsule to ascertain how many will fit.

I've seen guys stack encapsulated sovereigns in a tube so I'm sure it's possible.

Perhaps someone is already doing this? That would be great.

Once I know the required internal diameter of the tube, I can start to look through the catalogues.

Cheers!

I use the airtite A-tubes to store 1/10oz Britannia's but they are in the A16 ringed capsules not the screw caps
I use the same tubes to store proof sovereigns in RM screw capsules in the SDB while I keep the boxes at home
I think the 1/10 RM screw capsules are the same size as the sovereign ones but ringed to 16mm

By happy coincidence I happen to have some examples of both lying around.  The 1/10 screw caps are about 25mm across and the sov screw caps are 31mm.  I think the sov ones would fit into an A tube, but the 1/10 caps are a bit small and would rattle around a bit.  You can get 26mm Coinsafe or Numis tubes that would probably fit the 1/10 caps.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.
