What’s model number please? Clearly a bimetal, but what’s diameter on bezel?

Got a receipt with the box and papers?
Ie. Purchased from AD or grey market?

👍

There is a receipt/invoice, watch was purchased from ‘Sant Blanc’ - I still have the shipping label too!

I will PM model number

Its a 41mm dial known as a Wimbledon.

At 6 o’clock, where is the Rolex Crown or is it laser etched in glass?

Are you sure that is the original box?
You can have that lightly polished to make it look new for around £250.

Keep the serial number hidden.

They can then authenticate it for you.

The Rolex crown is actually on the dial, its not lasered on the glass. The box is certainly the original as I bought directly from a company when the watch was brand new. I may get this one touched up by a professional if it does not sell, thanks for the tip!

Let me know if you sell it ‘as is’ or need a North or South proper watch polisher.
The inside box logo should be green Rolex lettering and exterior crown is too dark, that is why I ask. Some good examples are on Chrono24 of what I’m talking about.

The Rolex crown like this, or laser etched in staggered height.

2001 was the year Rolex implemented the laser etched crown in the glass at the 6 o’clock position but can be difficult to see 🔍

It is good to see some Rolex enthusiasts on the forum! Thank you all for your input, it has been good chatting through messages with some members. I may take the watch somewhere local in a week or two if not sold beforehand

A watch dealer has offered me £8,500. I will sell on Sunday when I go past their store. If anyone wants to better or match their offer then I can consider this

  • Auronum changed the title to Gold Rolex Datejust II - now £8,500

It's a Wimbledon dial i believe

This is my local dealer in north east england

https://www.watchtrader.co.uk/search/wimbledon

They are very fair always on price and use the Hatton garden old model, get it in get it out the door.  pile it high, sell it cheap

Consider dropping them a message if you don't manage a sale.

Also consider BQ watches in Radlett. Down south.  Spender Dryden is super fair and held in well regard for this business reputation

Hope this helps. I'm no watch expert but have learnt a lots from Paul Thorpe's watch channel on YouTube
