New Member - Where to Buy Uk Coins in Edinburgh in person?

As title suggests anyone else from Edinburgh area able to suggest places to walk into with money for coins (1oz Britannia's, Sovereigns, etc? I m new to stacking but purchase through various factors online but for cash sometimes would be nice to know local?

Welcome. I'm not from Scotland myself but know you have the Edinburgh assayers office that do all the official hall marking for precious metals. They should be able to help point in the right direction

as far as i know there arent any dealers like chards etc where you can just walk in.  there may be jewellers who happen to sell a limited range of coins. but the prices wont be great as its a sidline for them.  a local pawn shop to me is selling 1oz silver brits for £40.

 

tbh, you are probably better buying here or online from chards/bleyer/bullion by post etc

thanks guys for the response i aim over the next few weeks to try coin shops and then go from there. appreciate the help. ill keep posted on what I get locally and where for others in due time.
