LiveAuctioneers - Worse Than Ebay for Fakes? - Spammers

In the last few months, I have commented on a number of obvious counterfeits being sold via Live Auctioneers.

To try to contact them, I had to sign up, which included subscribing to a number of their e-mail mailing lists. although pos't sibly there is some secret way of joining without the e-mail sign ups; if there is, then LiveAuctioneers do not make it clear or easy.

Since then, I have received at least one promotional e-mail from them daily.

I have "unbsuscribed" a number ot times, so far without success, as their junk mail still keeps arriving.

They certainly don't make it easy to unsubscribe. On the second or third attempt, I discovered it seems to be necessary to untick about 50 different mailing lists individually, although your seem to be automatically subscribed to all of them by default when you join.

After about 4 or 5 attempts to completely unsubscribe, I have still been receiving daily spam from them.

Just a few minutes ago, I reported the most recent as spam. The Google tool also gave me the choice to unsubscribe at the same time. Let's see if it works, although I doubt it.

After I signed up, I could find no obvious or easy way to contact LiveAuctioneers direct, a typical big corporate ploy.

The "Ask a Question" feature on each listing requires you to sign up and "complete your profile":

"Welcome to LiveAuctioneers!
Complete your profile in order to start bidding and winning. First, tell us about yourself."

Really infuriating. I was not trying to start bidding or "winning". I was trying to ask / inform LiveAuctioneers that their seller was offering fakes. It also seems certain that any question goes direct to the vendor, not to LiveAuctioneers, thereby alerting the vendor to the fact they are being watched. I feel sure that LiveAuctioneers don't want to know, and don't care. In this respect I believe they are even worse than ebay.

In case anyone wants to look at the forgeries I have mentioned, you can find some of them on these threads:

This next one was only "suspect", but probably fake:

Any other TSF members had problems with LiveAuctioneers, or manage to actually contact them, and if so, how?

I thought they were just a platform that represents each individual auction house. So can't you contact the relavant auction house direct? I am with easy auctions and saleroom. Quiet enjoy watching the live bidding.

You are probably correct, but they don't make that obvious or easy to find.

They could include links such as:

1 Contact us LiveAuctioneers

2 Contact the Auction House

3 Ask the seller a question

But this would make it too easy for potential buyers, and LiveAuctioneers might have to employ someone to answer the questions or take some action.

Agree that.  I just try to visit the site, n if u scroll down after click on an item, there is a button ask a question like enclosed picture for example.  I didn't try, but i think it can get u to the auctioneer who hold the auction.
