Does anyone know what this is..?

Recommended Posts

I half a big box of old pennies and other coins I've had since I started collecting coins as a child back in the early 1970s. I was rooting around in it earlier today looking for anything from 1952 for another thread on here and found this little coin which I have no memory of and didn't know I had.

Can anyone identify it?

Replica coin from the Battle of Hastings Coin Pack - William I.

Getting there!

My instant first thought was "replica / fake"

Then you can try to read the lettering, looks like PILLEMUS REX, which is close to Willem, or William.

So, everyone is at least partly right.

I can defo say it wasn't from 1952, though!
