What should I buy for £100

Hi all,

On average I could have around £100 to spend on silver, some months I will have money and some months I won't so I can't horde it to buy a larger amount in one go, because it will get spent on the money sucking things in my life family/house/pets etc. (its like living with a money sized black hole). So what would be the best investment, I'm looking long long term when I'm old(er) and grey(er). I do like Kooks, Koalas and Pandas but I don't mind what I buy and I am aware its potentially not a solid investment but I would like to have some savings in silver.

What are peoples thoughts?

Currently building my silver stack so looking for Kooks, Koalas, Eagles & Pandas

Outside of silver I also run a technology YouTube channel http://youtube.com/thenorthernblogger

You might be lucky and pick up a half sovereign for £100

delivery will eat up too much of that budget. so you should

consider something local, check whatever happens to come

cheaper on the forums or maybe join in on group buys. it'll

be like lucky dip on each spend so you're unlikely to get date

runs. getting random silver also helps you to find out what you

like.

Oops, sorry. I saw the word investment and obviously presumed you meant gold. Silly Roy.

Hi,

Yeah thats what I was worried about. Delivery seems to be the killer for me, but sadly I'm stuck with what I have and I am buying from the forums.

Thanks for the advice.

I would love to collect gold, but I'm already priced out for most stuff and you're right i would be very lucky to get a half sovereign for £100

If I was you I'd hide the £100 from myself for a month and then place a £200 order the month after.

If you're not sure what to buy then maybe get a selection of different coins and see which you like.

I'd go with the above advice, it works out better to make a slightly larger order. I did this with an order with STG to get the cost of delivery down per coin.

Looking to buy from the forum is also a great option. Numistacker has some nice graded coins up for sale, I've bought most of my stack from the forum :D

ask for someone who is just about to order from ST or goldsilver.be to do you a favour and add some coins for you to their order.

£100 will buy about 6 - 7 oz of coins, these can be sent to you 1st class for £2 - 3 and if you contribute a couple of quid to their postage costs, everyone wins.

I would save it up a few months and do a decent size order from germany.

If you cant hold money from month to month, atkinsons mix and match would be your best bet aiming to buy a min of 10 to get the discount :)

Make new friends but keep the old.

One is silver and the other gold
