God's of Olympus 1oz silver coins

Recommended Posts

Hi all..

I've been looking at this series for a while but something always stops me buying them,I don't know why as I think they are beautiful coins..

So wanted to know your opinions on these..and do they come in proofs or just bullion??

Many thanks.

Regards....

The restrikes by the Perth Mint, exclusively distributed by LPM, just BU and Antique Finish, both in 1 and 5 OZ Silver and 1 OZ Gold. The original coins by the Perth Mint from 2014/15 was 2 OZ High Relief. I'm not sure, if they restrike all of them (6 greek gods and 6 norse gods) or only the six greek gods. But these high premiums, more then 100%, for this makes me stay away from the buy button.

Thanks for the info..I did see the 5oz but no proofs...I thought they minted them last year as I saw only 3...Zeus,Posiedon  and Haydes.... so they came out in 2014? and now they are re-striking them? I did hear they were going to mint the Godess's of Olympus...I do like them but as I said something is stopping me buying them...probably the high premiums sellers are commanding....😒😒

I think the previous series had different designs.

Zeus is 2020 and the other two are 2021 for the new series.

They're not bullion, but BU, and with Perth's quality one could categorize them as Reverse Proofs even :P

They come in capsules and are minted in fairly low numbers. All they're missing are boxes and COAs... but who cares, if you like them.

Dealers are increasing the prices for a reason ;)

They all have the same designs and they come in the same order too. Next three are Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. In exactly this order. Also the 5 OZ comes with a COA, for just 100€/OZ in BU (450 Mintage), or 200€/OZ in Antique Finish (50 Mintage). For this type of money i think i better buy something different.

And dealers are increasing prices cause it makes more fun selling coins for higher premiums.

Price puts me off ..... but then again she puts most blokes off!!! haha... seriously though, the price is a block for me as if i bought one, i'd want the rest so i'm staying away from them

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
