Gold Sovereign Book

Hi, 

Could anybody recommend a book on gold sovereigns. I particularly want to look into the change in the George & Dragon design. I see two main books by March / Bentley are the good to go to books?

The Gold Sovereign by Marsh is due to be updated and published soon. I contacted the publishers in August 2020 and they replied and said it would be available early 2021.

The latest edition was published in 2017.

I'm still waiting for the updated 2021 version.

I'll be getting the new new one when it comes out, my 2017 one for half price? If you wish or course

I would recommend the Marsh. I have the 2017 version and it’s a great reference guide.

If someone could post when the 2021 edition is available then that would be much appreciated. 😊👍

Thanks for the information, I guess an old copy of some sort will do for what I want to look into.

I would definitely recommend the Marsh book but also the “A history of the Sovereign” by Kevin Clancy.

I think we’ll all be old and grey by the time it comes out. 😆😬
