New Rules for Business Accounts / Those operating as a business

Previously when a lot of businesses or those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum joined the forum we decided to keep things simple and include a commercial licence to sell commercially on the forum within the Gold/Platinum Premium Membership packages.

In the interest of fairness we believe that it is fair for Businesses, especially those who are actively selling on the forum and profiting from doing so to support TSF with a package that is slightly higher in cost (due to the higher benefits they get out of the forum) than just a Premium Membership. It also adds transparency for members so that they can easily see which accounts are business accounts. 

We are therefore releasing a Business Membership, which businesses on the forum would need to maintain. This will help to ensure fairness, and also help us to maintain low Premium Membership pricing for non business members. 

Having Business Memberships will also help TSF with some much needed revenue to help to grow the forum, and specifically to grow the trade that happens on the forum. We have some trade incentives planned for 2021, starting with a planned one coming soon in February 2021. Growing the forum's trade section is ultimately beneficial to all members including business members on the forum as they will bring more sellers and buyers to the forum. 

Note that Official Sponsors do not require Business Gold or Business Platinum in addition as they have Official Sponsorship instead. All other business accounts on the forum do however require the below. 

From 1st February 2021 businesses on the forum must maintain an active business membership and/or an active advertising package that includes a Business account. Those with an active preexisting advertising package before this date, please contact the forum (ChrisSilver) to upgrade your account to include a business account, your rate will remain the same and there will be no extra charges.

Note Business sellers with an account on the forum must maintain an active Business Membership. A Business Membership also includes a licence to sell commercially on the forum. You can buy Business membership by purchasing Business Gold or Business Platinum (note that Business Membership are different to Premium Memberships. Please click here to see all Business Membership packages. 

Gold/Platinum Business Membership would also give you a licence to list items for sale commercially as well as have a link to your website in your forum signature, we also encourage you to fully disclose your relationship to the business within your forum signature.

Having Business Gold or Business Platinum membership does not give you a licence to post spam however, or for self promotion of your businesses. You may wish to discuss advertising opportunities for your business with ChrisSilver, please enquire and we can send you are current Media Kit. Gold/Platinum Business Membership will however allow you to have a forum signature advertising your company or project and will show beneath every one of your forum posts. 

Note that the trade section is for items for sale directly via the forum and forum messaging system, note that external websites can not be linked to in trade topics. If you wish to link to an external website, please request interest in a Dealer sub forum / official sponsor (invite only) sub forum. Note that you may have a forum signature with a link to your website with up to 3 commercial links. Business Platinum members may also have a 250x50px banner to your website in your forum signature.
