Royal Mint 100g Silver Bar - Is this supposed to be a hologram?

I'm not nervous of buying on that well known online auction site. It's too easy to use the buyer guarantee and paypal chargebacks etc.

So. I thought I'd give it a go and yep. I think it's a dud.

On the back of the package there's what looks like a hologram with wavy 'The Royal Mint' text. Is this supposed to be a hologram that moves when you tilt it? Mine's static. Just looks like it's printed.

Thanks

guys.

Couple of pictures

The thing that worries me is that the wavey writing is backward. I'd understand if that was supposed to be a hologram that switch foreward/backward as the card is tilted. But it's static. I;ve seen pictures where the wavey writing is forward. What's it supposed to? Foreward, backewards, or either is ok? surely anyone capable of making a fake wouldn't make such a simple mistake as put the text in backwards.

Does anyone know if the Royal Mint respond to questions about this kind of thing?

I notice they have a page for contacting them about authenticating coins. But would they respond if I sent them a picture of my bar?

I suppose I should try. Worst that could happen is that they don't reply.
