British Royal Mint Platinum bullion

Is anyone else experiencing issues getting 2020 new platinum investment coins from the British Royal Mint. There are suggestions they can't get hold of blanks and all new platinum coin launches will be delayed? Is this because of shipping issues in the UK?

You will find it hard to find most Platinum coins anywhere.
There are a few popping up here and there but with relatively high premiums and that's before the UK 20% VAT.
Platinum does still look extremely cheap compared to gold though and that's maybe why raw metal is scarce at the moment.
With all the talk on hydrogen as a fuel expect Pt to rise dramatically in years to come - that's what my tea leaves tell me !
If the price was to take another plunge I would be buying all I could if the margins were fair.

I waited bloody ages for a platinum coin from the Royal Mint earlier this year - over two months for a replacement for a returned coin.

The replacement was little or no better than the one I returned in terms of the underlying reason why I returned the first one.

Given how long it took to get the replacement I didn't bother asking them again.

I have bought another, different platinum coin from the Royal Mint subsequently and it arrived very promptly and in perfect condition.

Basically it's a lucky dip with the Royal Mint in my opinion.  I will now only buy from them if I cannot get the same product anywhere else in the UK, which was the case for the later coin that I bought.
