Discovered a new silver dealer in my area. New to me, but not to the business.

Sells sterling silver flatware and British coins at spot, buys at 80%. Which is a spread I can easily work with in an emergency. Knowing that I can sell at around spot online if I take my time, 80% locally in an emergency and 88% if I drive a longer distance to a city dealer.

So added another few hundred quid of silver to my stack, and I now know where I can sell it when needed.

Very happy.

Nice one HT, one of the best ways to invest in silver in the UK IMO,  pre 47 works too but the grade is on the low side..it isnt always pretty but if you dont want to faff about breaking down and selling online then this system works.

Only downside is it does take up a bit of space..but far less than most other space taking things around the house..

They had kilos of pre47 0.500 coins, but I prefer pre 20 0.925. which they had run out of before I arrived. They will be saving me some for my next visit.

So I got some sterling silver ladles and spoons. All bought at spot, can't complain on that.

Are these sterling silver spoons hall marked or just stamped, "sterling"? Interested to learn more about this way of collecting scrap silver.

Would I be thinking that, given your profile name, you are in God's own country? If so, would you mind letting us know the dealer please. There are precious few in this area and then only the big names.
