Any help? 2005 uncirculated gold sovereigns

Hi guys,

I have the opportunity to buy 10 sovereigns in uncirculated condition in a presentation box. The chap wants £2450. HGM are currently selling single sovs for £195ish. Are the coins I'm talking about too dear at £245 each or do they command a premium in uncirculated condition? I'd rather ask a silly question and be educated. My gut says if they aren't proof coins with certificate then they are probably not worth much more than what I can buy from HGM.. Any help much appreciated!

That's what I thought, I contacted the seller and asked him about the premiums due to them not being proofs and he said...."these aren't your regular sovs" I messaged back, "so what are they? Imo they are bog standard uncirculated sovs?"....il give them a miss. I think I'd pay £200 for each one, I think that's fair!

I would 100% give them a miss for £2450

If they're in their cards and in mint condition they sell for around £245 on ebay, so..

Atkinsons sometimes sell 2002/2005 sovereigns for not too much over normal ones, an extra £15 ish

Quite straightforward, a quick ebay search would tell you everything you need to know. These are a one-off design, the mintage is reasonably low and they command a premium. Up until recently, I haven't looked for a week or two, they were selling for an average around £260-265 on Ebay.

£245 isn't unreasonable but if you're buying 10 I would expect a good discount, also the buyer isn't paying ebay charges.
