Welcome to the forum silver_wox, I am a big fan of Perth Mint stuff as well.

I also like the Pandas, I want to collect 1 of each going forward. But I am unsure of these as an investment, the premium seems ridiculous for the mount minted. They are tremendously beautiful coins though, one of my favourites aesthetically.

What do you think of the Pandas in terms of investment?

Thank you all!

ChrisSilver, i agree that the premium are high for a bullion coin with that high mintage. But as you said, they are beautiful and well made. Anyway, premium is high even for the newer pandas with high mintage. Look at the 2012 for example, cheapest on gold.de right now is €36. I guess the 2013 will go the same way, same mintage also. Compared to ASE the mintage is not so high, and there are many chinese people also. But i do find it a little strange that the 2012 got the same or even higher premium than the 2010, 2011 pandas. With this said, a 2014 panda for €20+ seems like a good investment if you will get €30+ for it within 2 years. :) But ok, thats history. You never now with premiums, they come and go.

Yea they are very nice, and with spot being so low they aren't that expensive.

I know they are capsuled of course, another reason why I like them, though I have never bought them in quantities.

Do you know if they come in rolls like Perth mint coins? Or are multiples supplied in sheets? I have a feeling it's some sort of sheet.

Thank you all for the welcoming!

ChrisSilver, yes the pandas comes in plastic sheets of 30 coins. I usually don´t buy that amount of pandas at one time though.  :) I also know they come in monster boxes with 600 coins, total 20 sheets. I saw an unboxing video on youtube once where they opened a sealed monster box. Here it is BTW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7ul-t9dJlA

Thanks for the link. Terrible acting though lol

That packaging is so ugly and takes up too much space in my opinion. Perth mint rolls are much nicer than sheets.

I might have to buy a few more pandas later on this year, if spot price is still low. Maybe it's worth it, if not maybe kooks are a better investment.

No, pandas are the better investment as there will be millions of rich Chinese in the future buying back issues of pandas and lunar coins as well for that matter.
