Hello,

I would like to ask your help with valuation of the following coins:

1. Sovereign British Gold coin (attached pic)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_(British_coin)

2. 50 Mexico pesos gold (attached pic)

Another question is how can I sell this coins ?

Thank you

You have not attached the picture of the sovereign coin. There are many different types of sovereign.

Are you referring to an advert on the forum relating to a 50 peso and a £5 sovereign?

Are the coins being offered good value? Yes at current gold prices they are. The £5 sovereign will be a proof coin or at least a brilliant uncirculated, so despite being a little more expensive gram for gram it is a better quality coin.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. Attached the pictures of the coins.

I have this coins and I would like to liquidate them and get $ or other currency for them.

I don't have any experience so I am not aware how to sell it and whats the procedure. First I would like to know what's their value. Much appreciated.

£510 for the peso and sov - final offer?

I think he's looking for a real response here.

The 50 peso is about 1.2 ounces of gold, and at current gold price, it would be worth about $1,700, or about £1360, just for the gold.

The sovereign is a little under 1/4 ounce of gold, so would be about £265, or $330.
