i just signed up and had a go, ads are between 00:25 - 04:00 min's long and you get 3 - 5 points each for watching them plus on some of them you can get extra points for answering some questions or clicking on a link to their website,

If you use your points to buy silver how would one keep the £/oz ratio correct? Would you use the cash value even though no cash has been spent?

Are the value of nectar points being reduced?

I heard that they were being halved in value!

I heard that Sainsbury's were.

I think my last eBay conversion recently was 500 points to £2.50

Value is staying the same. However sainsbury's from next year are only going to give 1 point per £ spent instead of the current 2. They will instead do more deals, like "get 20 extra points if you buy 2 packs of toothpaste" etc etc.

But the redemption value is going to stay at £2.50 for 500 points

3 - 5 points per add. Lets say 4 then.

500 points per £2.50

So 125 Adds are worth $2.50

Currently £13.10 for a maple.

(13.10/2.5)*125= 655 adverts per maple.

NO thanks

The adpoints are a good way of boosting your Nectar points with your weekly shopping and you can get them if you buy petrol.

You can also link nectar with british gas and get more points.

I have my Nectar account linked to my eBay account so collect points whenever I make a purchase on eBay, including when I use points to help finance the purchase.

I also drive an HGV at work and regularly pick up 80-130 points when I fill it up, sometimes I have a double points voucher as well. The most I got in one fill up without voucher is 220 points and have had over a 1,000 in one week in the past. B)

1000 in a week, 52,000 a year.......= 20 oz of cheap silver bullion, (at todays prices). Not a bad little works bonus that :D

That was a one-off week that involved two double points vouchers and nicely asking the other drivers not to fill up if I had in the lorry the next day.

Trying to get gold with nectar points, so far got 3000 points without changing shopping habits too much. How hang points for an oz???!!!!!!!

You'll need about 160,000 points minimum to get yourself an ounce  :D Nearly a fiftieth of the way there.

Well 500 points are £2.50, so you have £15 at present.

A gold coin at £800 would take 160,000 nectar points if my calculations are correct.

Keep shopping......

Stacker since 2013

Watch this space!!!!! Think I'll probably get fed up an 10k and cash them in. But some good offers, do first online shop at sainsburys and get 3000 bonus points. That should take me to 6k only 174000 to go

I'd think of them as bonuses rather than trying to earn entire coins.

I mean, £15 off a sovereign will be a great deal to get, stuff like that. Certainly feels like you'd see more financial 'gain' than playing the super long game.

Or maybe that's because I don't have much patience.
