I was reading the " are there any female stackers out there" thread and did get the impression it is mostly a male dominiated hobby/ investment strategy. Shame really.

Afternoon ladies. I think you'll fund the reason why there are more males into silver stacking etc is that because pm investing comes with high risks. For some reason males are more predeposed to taking risks / gambles than females. You see the same thing in all forms of gambling. Apart from perhaps the Bingo. Although people who have scientifically looked into this think the bingo angle is more due to socialising than gambling per se. Is it in the genes who knows. But it seems to be true whatever the cause.

That's an interesting thought.... I've never considered myself a gambler before. I hate wasting money I don't even do the lottery. I view stacking more of a saving/investing scheme although I do acknowledge it comes with some risks.

My end strategy is to cash some in before I retire as a lump sum then use the rest to subsidise my pension income. Im hoping that 30yrs worth of hoarding silver will aquire me a least a small profit.... And if not at least I've had the pleasure of lookin at all my shinys for so long lol.

Strangely, mine is identical to yours.

520oz or multiples thereof, to give me an extra weekly income for the first 10 years of retirement.

I'm thinkin I'll have 4 categories.... Generic billion.... Collectables..... Tax free Brits and gold..... I'll cash in the Brits and possibly the gold for my lump sum, use the collectable as a subsidised income and used the generics as an emergency fund for the yrs that follow
