  1. As per title, a gram of gold, no frills, £55 delivered 2nd class recorded. Can post on Saturday, BT please. Some pics in case you've forgot what one looks like.😀
  2. I know the 'where it all started' thing has been done to death, but it's interesting to see how we all got into this game. My PM journey began in 2015, better late than never! My first silver purchase was these 3 from Atkinson's. I couldn't ever sell them... And this is what they cost me. As soon as I saw them in the flesh and held them I was hooked, and have been ever since. Nearly a decade down the line, hundreds of ounces later, yellow stuff in a deposit box, date runs completed, long term plans still being worked on, a few losses, a few wins, I still love it as much as I did in 2015! That is in no small part due to this forum and everyone who makes it what it is.
  3. All silver. I don't really consider chucking in a wee sachet a step though. I've spent more time typing about it in the last hour than I ever will actually doing it!
  4. Good man. I still have jillions left from covid test kits. Arguably the most useful thing in the box!
  5. True. Also, if gaseous hydrogen sulphide is present it will, in part, dissolve in atmospheric water, and so moisture absorbers will remove at least a portion of it. As I said, the moisture per se is not the problem, but rather what it is carrying. You keep the air out, I'll keep the moisture out, and the coins will stay tip-top for ever!
  6. I'll do both! (Not really, stopped smoking years ago, but remember it fondly...)
  7. Like sulphur dioxide, which is soluble in water.
  8. Not technically, but the gubbins in the moisture does, so that's better off in a sachet than lying on lovely Silver. Also a dry environment is better than a moist one for preservation in general. Except for fish.
  9. In all seriousness, if you haven't already I'd chuck a few moisture absorbing sachets in the tin as well, it'll help keep the shiny, well, shiny!
  10. Nice haul, but my OCD is red-lining seeing it all in a tin! And that ASE not in a cap or at least a flip🤣 Looks like a nice 2002 Brit at the bottom as well!!!
  11. Lol. I'll give you £52 for that Yale!!! Profit already...
  12. I'll take the yale under then same condition I you're happy to do so.
  13. As per title, I have a carded 1g Tavex gold bar and would like a 2019 2oz QB Yale of Beaufort (in good nick!). I've not put any pics on, I presume we all know what they look like - but happy to do so. We'd each cover postage - ideally 1st class recorded. Let me know if you you're interested.
  14. A few bits for sale. 2018 PM Rectangular dragon, a wee bit grubby, but otherwise good, £24. 2023 KC Coronation 1oz, £25. 2oz Silver 'sovereign' from St Bees Silver, a great chunk of silver, £64. Lastly a 20g(I think) Kit Kat in custom case, cool little thing, but I'm not really a poured silver guy! £20 Will do £125 as a lot. Postage on top. Extra pics if you want.
  15. 100oz of Silver Brits is amazing, but I'd imagine that with what you've paid buying direct from RM you could have bought at least 150 on this forum. As @James32 said, buy on here, you'll save a fortune, it's also a great place to sell them if you need to liquidate. Also the cards don't add anything, stick them in a decent capsule, or even a tube.
  16. Hope he took a few quid off for the delivery...
  17. This set is also made from Gairsoppa silver, its very nice, I have one, but I wouldn't pay £450 for it! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2016-24ct-Gold-Gibraltar-Battle-Of-The-Atlantic-Silver-Proof-Complete-6-Coin-Set-/234941852030?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p4429486.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  18. Very nice, I particularly like that NGC have opted for 'piefort' - do they always do this?
  19. Pretty sure the mintage was 20k for both years.
