I got my first Portuguese silver!
 
Tehy are, in order:
 
Vasco da Gama 50 Escudo 1969 in very good condition. Mintage 1 million
Pedro Alvares Cabral 50 Escudo 1968 in very good condition. Mintage 1 million
Marechal Carmona 50 Escudo 1969 in good condition. Low mintage of only 500,000
400th Anniversary of Heroic Epic 'Os Lusiadas' 50 Escudo 1972 Fine (Bella) condition. 1 million minted
125th Aniversary of Bank of Portugal 50 Escudo 1971 Fine (Bella) condition. 500,000 mintage
 
All these coins are .65 silver and weigh 18 grams, 34mm diameter.
 
The last one is a 1954 10 Escudo Circulated. .68 silver, 12.5 grams, 30mm diameter.
 
So that is 67 grams or 2.154 ounces of silver in total. Got the lot for €55 (10 each for the larger ones and 5 for the smaller)
 
I am actually rather happy with that.

Not exactly PMs but I just received this mini treasure chest which I'm going to use to store my loose silver.  Namely the bars and scrap coins which I currently have dotted about on my desk and draws which I don't have a storage place for.

ill enlighten you , over on the ss forum they talk in no mans lingo whan silver tanks or rockets , ill educate you with my best pirate voice (the idea is that like pirates got silver long long ago  , then so do the stackers on the usa forum ) anyway back to the lesson

today i received a mint tube of 25x maples from STG, I won`t post a pic as i`m sure everone on here knows it looks like anyway
but I like them, and all being well, I should be getting another 11 from Kevin, and one of them should be the worst "milk spotted"  examples for me to experiment on
 
sounds probably like an odd request, but I`m sure I should get more than the value of the silver in Data alone! ergo a good investment

well I've been sitting back the last couple of months and now that its gone under £11 an oz, i've decided to make my biggest purchase to date 30oz from STG
 
gone for 27 maple leafs, 1 bird of pray bold eagle, 1 year of goat and 1 kookaburra
 
my new system I have given myself is that i'll buy one of all the 1oz silvers on STG and then bulk up on the maples
