Decided I might collect the Royal Mint lunar series, and have got my 1oz Year of the Horse today.

I've been out all day so it was a nice surprise that a parcel which I'd thought might have gone missing turned up.  According to tracking it left the USA 12 days ago and I've had orders sent days after it which have already arrived.  To make up for it:
1) It was under valued without my instruction
2) It was declared as "collectable items" and marked as a gift.  Customs have opened it to examine and have charge 5% VAT (they usually charge the full 20% no matter what it is declared at).
3) Royal Mail did not collect the charges.
 
 
 
 

Still no fair.

today i bought four bits of  Medieval bronze jewellery, far from my usual things ! but what the hell adds some diversity! these are going into mine and my girlfriends long term shared numi/antique collection.
