I don't normaly go for this kind of medalion,but it had this kind of art nouveau look to the young queens side of coin,and I like this one.condition it very good compared to most that I have seen and for £12.50 I paid for it.im not likely to make any money,but it was bought as a keeper.

Today I received my long awaited 2019 10oz Maple Leaf Coin,chuffed to bits with it.
also arrived last Saturday my new Maple Leafed box to store it in.all I need now is custom inserts made to show the coin off.

these arrived today,bought cos I liked them,a lot. made by john pinches in a set of 48pcs.normally these are were available in bronze or silver however this set is different.i have searched and searched to find some information on this coloured set,which I am told has been hand gilt  / enamelled, and incredibly well done if true,and is a one off ( am not sure this is true ). it is stunning in the hand,the pics do not do it justice.each coin weighs in at 42grams and is 44mm wide.a heavy album.if you have any info,please do tell.

just a thought..could it be that the coin as been 'cleaned'

still looking for 1887 2shillings,Florin,Double Florin,Crown,half sovereign and sovereign,but hard to find at fair prices in very nice condition.....But I will Percy Veer.

Hi All,
I Inherited a small coin collection just over a month ago, and in the process of researching the contents I unwittingly fell down the silver rabbit hole. What began as a passing interest quickly turned into a bit of an obsession.
I then proceeded down a path I suspect many have trodden before me. Bullion by Post, Atkinson's, eBay and now a hundred or so ounces later, Here. I seriously regret not finding here first.
Anyhow, looking forward to continuing to grow the stack and reading my way through the old posts. Seems like friendly place.

Yes, Powercoin was / is still my main go too company i buy from from. i panic everytime a parcel arrives incase it is followed by an import vat / postage charge from UK courier.
 

A recent @BackyardBullion you tube shows a new pre-release coloured coin  from @PowerCoin . An Italian outfit for Rome i believe. The coin imho is a good example of where modern mints are using Hi-tech to create some beautiful high-end coins and rounds.

There is quite a difference, between official colored coins and privately, or by a small company unofficial colored coins. There are collectors for unofficial colored coins, especially in eastern Europe. There are so many variations, cause everybody does, what he wants, but that's not for me. Official colored coins by the Perth Mint, like the colored Lunar bullion coins, are pretty popular in Germany. The coloring by PM looks really good, way better than any unofficial coloring. I had some in hand and mist say superb done by PM. They have an older video, showing their process
My favorite artistic, modern coins are coming from CIT. I don't like everything, but almost all my favs are coming from them. They also started like 30 years ago with colored coins, or coins with inserts. Story is too long, but if you are interested in modern minting, this is one of the best podcasts, i ever listened to. They are pioneers, almost everything new we saw on coins, was first issued by them. Not everything nice, but for sure trendsetting.
And, in my opinion, the most decadent coin i ever saw is also made by them. 5 OZ colored, or silverplated, gold Fighter Pilot. This one is not gildet, it's massive gold

Probably this... but if i was offered a good price it would go... that's what the game is about as I don't go in for anything old apart from Gillicks... they are my fav Sov but I'd still sell them if the price was right
