A lot of people, myself included, made mistakes with silver. It was probably just impatience but silver looked to be a poor investment and gold was buzzing. Looking back through my records, I was paying £420-440 a kilo and £145-150 for 10oz. Had I been patient, I would've done rather well. Some members have been holding huge amounts of silver for years and their patience will certainly pay off 😊

I believe there is a correct answer to this question! Let's say a gentleman bought £10,000 of gold many years ago and recently sold it for £22,000. A tidy (CGT free!) £12,000 profit. Well, relatively, £10,000 was worth more 'many years ago' than it is now. Should he reinvest the capital back into gold and spend the profit? Should he invest the £12,000 profit in gold and deploy the capital elsewhere? Should he put it all back into gold? If you bought 13oz gold seven years ago and sold it today, you could buy...13oz of gold 😕

Do you think it is an idea to create a separate jewellery trade section so folk know where to go and don't have to search? I think there are a few members who like jewellery and perhaps it might inspire new members to sign up? Just thinking online 😊
