vicamy got a reaction from Aldebaran in an interesting ebay listing ☺️
So he has a machine I am guessing, and showing the buyers that he has a fake bar🙈.
My point is that we need to study the information in photos too, not just see the descriptions, feedback, and a testing machine in a photo 🤭

I think there are quite a few members like me who are buying and selling on different platforms, e.g. TSF, Facebook, eBay, etc. Facebook uses vouches from other members, TSF more relies on feedback and reputation points, and eBay, once again, relies on feedback but it has its own protection program. All of these platforms are fundamentally built on trust from both sides. If we put ourselves in the other side’s shoes, it probably makes a lot of sense. Sellers confirming the dispatch, and buyers confirming the receipt, as for myself, I think that is the least we can do for the other person.

I'm saddened to read this thread, but I'm happy that people who got scammed can get their money back. I initially thought this person might have fallen ill or had an accident, making it impossible to contact. However, if they've already started sending empty packages, it's clear that this person is not trustworthy.
I always believe that individuals like this are short-sighted and don't consider the future. The profit they could have made over the years far exceeds what they can con people out of now. Unfortunately, such individuals exist, and they will resurface elsewhere at some point, or someone else will turn to such activities. Horrible stories are circulating, with some individuals having scammed hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The foundation of this community is built on trust. Everyone has their methods of conducting due diligence checks, and it's valuable that many people have shared their approaches. However, I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all solution. My advice is for both buyers and sellers to perform thorough due diligence checks and trust your instincts. Sometimes, it's best to walk away, no matter how tempting a deal may seem, if your instincts raise doubts
