    Fake silver

sales plug 😁 theses slides I've got up for sale not only look nice but can sniff out the fakes if you have got some coins in your collection that you are not sure of. There are loads knocking about now and as mentioned above if dealers buy in bulk then they can still slip through.
  2. Definitely. Not dipped my toe in yet to get one of these
  3. These ones didn't go for a bad price from a seller on eBay I follow
  4. A lovely 1937 Australian wreath crown in today. These were only minted in 1937 & 1938 for the coronation of George VI There was just over 1 million minted in 1937 and just over 100k for 1938 and 250 proof for 1938
  5. Looks like it could have been broken out of a proof set and abused a bit
  6. Nicely done @LiquidMetalsUK and well done @Mrpound 👍
  7. I thought you was playing a game of spot the difference 🤣
  8. @morezone had some for sales a while back I believe, he might know a little more about the silver note's
  9. Picked up a very different mexican piece today, a 5g 5 pesos silver bar. Once I had seen it I knew it had to go into my collection 😁
  10. That is a hell of a trek to look in a shop 🤣

  12. Amazing work and very nice add buddy, I was toying with this idea a few months back.
  13. It happens, and I'm sure everyone can forgive a mishap. Grand job you are doing 👏 👍
  14. Thanks bud coins look better in hand. Just got to decide if over time I want to turn it into the long set with the half, full, double and five sovereign 😱
  15. Today I got the last piece of the puzzle. I have now completed a nice short set of 1887 Queen Victoria golden jubilee silver set, housed in a nice presentation box. Don't think I will turn into the long set.

    Validating Jewellery

When me and the other half was in India a few years back I had a ring made for her it was a 9ct white gold ring with 1ct aquamarine stone and each side of that 0.2ct diamond. The guy said that when we get it home and have it valued it should be at least double what I paid. I wasn't holding out any hope lol, but I finally got round to doing it two or three years after coming back and was valued at around £750 (I paid £220) so was surprised and only cost £30 to value so worth doing that.
  18. I'm definitely in again this year. I will have to add my prize later as out of the country for work 👍
  19. Came in yesterday a lovely example of a 1887 double florin, roman 1 variation. The only issue is the mark on Victoria's cheek
  20. I don't think it will grade that well but fits in very well in my folder 👍
