  1. What Does Quenching Over 1 KILO of Silver Sound Like? #ASMR
  2. This looks like what would be on the coin if @LawrenceChard was a designer at the Royal Mint.....
  3. First actual auction of the 2 oz proof set is up on ebay, will be interesting to see how it gets on. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Queen-s-Beasts-2021-UK-Two-Ounce-Silver-Proof-Ten-Coin-Set-Limited-Edition-/402954660568?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
  4. These days for releases like these where they are likely to go in minutes I tend to not bother incase issues arise with ordering. I had a little scare this morning, the transaction had to be approved in my banking app, which I did then as soon as I did that I got a text from my bank to say suspicious activity was this you? Whats the point in having an app authentication tool if it just blocks and doesnt matter. Simple text message to say "yes" it was me and card is unlocked. Fortunately the set was still available the second time I went to checkout and this second time it went through all OK. But on other releases this could have been a auto miss out because of my idiotic bank....
  5. If the mintage was in the low hundreds I would have gone for it, but its not for me as is.
  6. Anybody keen on the 1/4 oz silver proof with 1250 mintage? Not massively keen myself to be honest, seems all the value will be in the 2 oz sets to match the weight of the bullion versions. The 1/4 oz gold is a good way to catch up and get the whole proof set now, but the difference is that all the coins will be 2021 Kind of annoys me that they have basically added 250 more to the mintage of each and every 1/4 oz gold proof coin though - even if the coins are all 2021 dates. Their justification for this is "reverse frosted finish" The really annoying one is the 2021 1/4 gold griffin because the regular proof is also a 2021 coin. Dilutes this original mintage of 1250 in my opinion
  7. So, the difference here is that before today all the silver proofs were 1 oz with thousands of mintage per coin These are all 2 oz proofs and have 300 mintage, for me this is a good bet for a winning set* *this is my opinion only and not financial advice.
  8. Thanks for the search link, snagged a 2 oz silver proof set
  9. I think its a false alarm? Its just taking me to the main QB page now, nothing new.
  10. Most dealers will have their prices linked live to spot price and often when "checking out" via their shop pages you get a window of a few minutes before a live price is updated. As to checking spot price, I have just gotten into the habit of having Bullion By Post as one of my home tabs on my browser, so I just have that open every now and again to check on live prices.

  13. Pretty sure that is his formal name, The Prince "Philip" rather than "Prince Phillip"
  14. I was really interested in the mintage figures for the extended range, didnt know it wasn't going to be out today as well, so not pulled the trigger on the £5 or piedfort versions today but would certainly consider a 2 oz silver in the future with a mintage of 1000
  15. Seems that there will be an "extended range" coming out separately to this release with lower mintages and 999 coins rather than the sterling £5 versions
  16. The vast majority is imported from the Royal Canadian mint via the European Mint 😜
  17. There is NO Shortage of Silver - Nearly ALL Supply Chains have been BADLY affected in 2021...
