  1. Saffron's Hand Poured Silver Star - Welcome to the world!
  2. You can have all the scrap of mine you want for my full retail price 😜 Otherwise, back in the melting pot they go!
  3. Did I Make A Huge Mistake Grading This Coin - £800 Extra Profit GONE - Lessons in Selling for Profit
  4. This is what I do. I have currently about 100x great looking 100g Bars ready for TSF branding. I have probably poured close to 200 to get them, just takes longer but its so worth it for quality.
  5. Maybe a community open letter/complaint signed by a large number of dissatisfied customers might get the RM to notice that they are annoying some of their customers I have a good friend, this QB set was his first ever Proof set purchase and he has had to return it - full of milk spots and the beard shavings (thats what it looks like anyway) INSIDE the capsules. He said to me he is very unimpressed and has been put off so much by the RM that he probably won't buy again. That's a real shame. I have thought for a while now that we need to be more vocal about these kind of issues so this thread should be a great read for any RM staff that actually care about what they claim on every invoice they send out. RM - if you are reading this - DO BETTER
  6. Seems there might be good news for those that didn't buy direct today Atkinson's have some coming by the looks of it.
  7. VAT on investment bullion silver sucks so much that I haven't been buying any bullion silver all year outside of my hand poured silver raw material. This coin though....with VAT works out under £29.30/Oz and that is a decent price all things considered, even with VAT. So, proud to say that coming to a YouTube channel near you soon.... 1 kilo Queens Beast Completer!
  8. I was told it would take about 10 days to assess the coins. One presumes this is because of the volume of returns coming back to them this week....
  9. Don't believe everything on ebay, this could easily be faked to make it look more attractive at a lower price
  10. Is The Royal Mint Flooding The Market With Too Many New Proof Coins? #Royalmint
  11. Well, the account manager I spoke to said they would try their hardest to make sure that this situation is resolved as best as possible, but she was also managing my expectations by saying that there is always the option of a full refund if not. Personally I want this set as a collectors piece, I would be keen to hold this for a while and not flip it, especially if it is in pristine condition. However, if I get one that is less than perfect, I would likely take it from the mint and just flip it for a few hundred quid if possible just to make me feel a little better about the poor situation. Let's see what happens
  12. So, I asked about this with my set, they insist that I send all coins back and they will then look at the quality of everything and make a decision on the way forward. I'm not hopeful for a perfect set here, it seems like a long shot.
  13. Wouldn't it be a 2 oz gold set? £45000 for the set, yowzers!
  14. Here is my video showing the coins and sharing my sentiments on all things Queen's Beast Proof Sets
  15. Let Down by the Royal Mint Quality Control Again | 2 oz Silver Queen's Beasts Proof Set #Royalmint
  16. Love this thread. 2 oz Silver Proof set goes back today!
  17. You can choose options when they give you all the options that are available, so for me I don't have to decide right now.
  18. Totally agree, I don't know how scratches like mine are missed either let alone the ruddy big dent in my box!
  19. So..... After my first inspection of the coins I thought it prudent to have a much closer look. 3/10 are not good Marks which at first I thought were possible capsule/dust related are most certainly scratches are visible to the naked eye. Now, there has been a lot of talk on this thread about the hype, flipping market and the constant milking by the Royal Mint of the super successful series of the Queen's Beasts. I love this series, I love this release I think they are the best coin designs out there, period. I am very much looking to collect this set and hold it and enjoy it for a good long time. If and when the time comes to sell it I would of course be very happy to see a financial return on it. Quality aids that and to that end this is why it is such a big deal for most people, flipping aside. So.... I have just spoken with my account manager and the set will be going back. Upon inspection the quality team will make an assessment as to whether these coins are "up to the quality expected of the Royal Mint" and then look to do one of the following where most appropriate. a) Replace with any other available sets that meet the quality control standards b) Restrike the set (my account manager said this was possible but not guaranteed as it very much case dependant) c) If neither of the above is possible then I can have the set returned to me so I can at least guarantee I get the coins d) Full refund So, we will see how it goes...I will keep you all informed on the process as best as I can but it will likely take weeks to process, so we will see. I will be sharing a close look at these coins in a video to be released tomorrow so we can all see up close what the standard is like and the issues at hand. Disappointed BYB... Over & Out
  20. I know the QC can be bad but don't chuck them down the Loo!
  21. I got my 2 oz completer today too. Looks perfect to my eyes, so the RM got something right today at least. We will see how they handle this bad box situation I find myself in.
  22. To the Royal mint's credit they have always been very good at their returns process. I mean, they have had enough practice at it....
  23. RM Quality control strikes again My account manager is on the case (shameful pun intended) Coins look as good as can be all things considered, but the box has seen better days.
  24. This is Probably the Biggest Misconception about Silver & Gold and what causes most Disappointment
