I wouldn't pay more than spot, eventually maximum +5%, sorry, but this in only my humble opinion.
I have hundreds of silver spoons, all types, sizes, styles and purities, mostly bought under spot.

Talked to a buddy of mine that does some refining and he said it's not worth it and extremely difficult. He gave me a number to a guy i could send it to though and just got a hold of some more gold at a good price so that's the route to go

You might think you're protected with your hazmat suit and eyebrow shield but one whiff in an unventilated garage and you'll end up with the lungs of a 90 years old, after they've been dead ten years. You might even blow yourself up 😮 Like whoosh what are my legs doing over there? Then there's the burns. Potentially you could end up melting along with your gold like this guy ... 
 
Or maybe you'll just get pulled by mi5 for buying explosive substances lol
 

I'm going to hold off on buying these acids for few weeks. We'll see how that goes but usually once I decide I'm going to do something, it gets done.

A 22k gold alloy would be just fine. It seems like the quicker but more expensive method though.. I figured it'd be worth it because I've been getting good deals on the broken chains and pendants I've come across so far.. I'll try to find some bismuth around town if not I'll order some and try this method..

I'm new to precious metals but man they caught my attention and im hooked! In the past few years i was really into bitcoin and started teaching myself about trading and pretty much anything about finances. Lately though I've been stacking silver and buying gold and silver bullion little by little and my collection is starting to look nice! It gets me excited. I even started my son his own little collection and he's not even 1... Anyways I'm here to get my name out there.. I consider myself an investor but with metals I look at it as an investment and a collection and am not trying to get into the semantics between the differences of investing and collecting. I simply want to have fun with it and teach people along the way that way good people don't get ripped off because they don't know about pricing and premiums and other factors to suggest when buying/investing/collecting. Unfortunately, this piece it is not silver. On any silver object attacked by acid, should remain a white stain, not a dark grey one.
Your round is more likely zinc alloy, silver plated.
