The problem: Some members do not wish to see the content of the NBS topic, although there is an activity feed to see only PM content this has some disadvantages as it hides all topics in the non PM section (not just the NBS topic), so it would not be ideal to use as a default stream for all users.
The solution: Create a new forum sub section to contain the NBS topic. This section has now been created and the topic has been moved.
The default stream can now be (and has been) set to a stream that shows only PM content and non PM content (but excludes the NBS topic)
Note that users can also change their own personal default stream to include posts from the NBS topic. Or to make customised streams to show only content from specific forum areas.
The default stream is the stream which shows when you click activity button in the menu (this button is the one that reads 'Activity' in the header when on desktop, and the button with the newspaper style icon whilst on mobile). Any activity streams, either from the pre-made ones or custom ones that a member creates can be set as that user's own personal default stream for when clicking on the activity button.
Users who already have a personally set default stream may need to set the new stream as their default, which can be found using the following links.

I had been thinking for some time the best solution for this. Including some custom applications/plugins, as well as possibility utilising different core features such as clubs (where once upon a time the Premium Member lounge lived) in the end this solution above seems to be the best. It creates a clear contained area where the NBS type of posts can be posted by those who wish to engage, whilst also not affecting other users and other areas of the forum.
Please do not let these types of posts spill out into the other areas of the forum. Please do re-read the orange guideline post which is found pinned at the top of the NBS topic.
To be clear, the posts in the NBS topic should absolutely no way spill out into the other areas of the forum, including but not limited to; the main non PM discussions area and the precious metals sections of the forum, including but not exclusive to the forum's trade section, or damage the form's core focus or professional image. Please keep the NBS style posts strictly to this NBS topic.

The non PM section, and Relaxed non PM (Containing the NBS topic) is currently open to all Premium Member groups. From 1st January 2024 the Relaxed non PM (Containing the NBS topic) will be open to Gold, Platinum and Platinum PLUS Premium Members. This is over 6 months and 2 weeks from the date of posting. At the time there will be some sort of promotional offer for Silver Premium Members who wish to upgrade to Gold or above.
