Yes, I asked them and they couldn’t give me a reason. They just said that I should receive it this week and that I am not the only one waiting.
Maybe they're waiting for the COAn signature since I believe it hand signed and I can't imagine how long it would take to sign your name 1250 times.

It can take about 12 weeks. Usually they give an estimate, but rarely hit it.
Ok thanks so I got to wait for a few months before getting my chances of buying a ms70 SOTD sovereign.

Just wondering how long does it normally take to get your coin graded and sent back to you

Type in the phrase “counterfeit sovereign” in the search bar at the top of the page a read a couple of articles by members here.
I dont think they have fake 2023 SOTD sovereign just yet since it only been 2 weeks but I might be wrong. Hopefully there some 2023 SOTD sovereign from APMEX or other USA based online dealer. Im not sure if I want to spend 2.5k usd from britannia coin company just yet, im hoping usd to pound exchange rate go up higher since im also going to need to pay transaction fee from when paying pounds.

If you are looking at SOTD keep in mind they are a matte finish (kind of like a bullion coin) and might not grade as perfect. If you want a 70 you probably want to buy one already graded. The one I received is not perfect, but I don’t believe in grading these. They are rare and limited due to the event and mintage, perfection may not be the goal.
Just one guy’s opinion……
oh ok thanks also I dont really know 2 much about sovereign coins especially on SOTD , do you by any chance have a irl photo of a bullion sovereign and a matte finish version side by side so that I can see and try to tell the different.(only got proof sovereign so far). Im also wondering are lower number COA worth getting on these Special events?

Im not bitter 😄
Wait so you got a email confirmation for buying the SOTD sovereigns and then later they cancel your SOTD sovereign?

Maybe they got friends to buy one for them, or they just bought extras from elsewhere. They were sold by a few other places than just the mint.
guessing other websites don't have a limit on these type and do you know any other website that the royal mint sell there coins to other then chards or bullionbypost.

Multiple accounts- him, wife, son, Goldfish and so on?
oh I though this was more like a household limit type from the royal mint.

Im wondering was it possible to get more then 1 SOTD sovereign because I see this guy on ebay who already sold 2 SOTD sovereign and have at 1 more that for sale? Unless that person cancel the sold item to resale it again since it was at both at 1750 GBP.

Wait so I'm now wondering what else was available from account manager only, like was there any during the platinum julibee or the memorial event that only account manager can get for you?
Also how much do you need to spend to have an account manager?

Got mine to now - glad you got one to @BackyardBullion Looks super lovely in hand. Hopefully a wise investment for years to come given the 100 mintage
My account manager described it as a "reverse proof" to me over the phone, i wouldn't really call it that myself. As you say fully frosted or matt
I wonder what NGC will class them as when graded
How much was the price?

It’s supposed to be for special events, but it’s been struck every year since 2016, and sometimes for multiple events in the same year.
With the SotDs being differentiated from the Proofs by their plain edge and matte finish, they’ve become like a separate annual “product line” for the Royal Mint.
oh I guess it not as special as I was thinking it was since the only one i know that is SOTD sovereign is the platinum Jubilee and this Coronation sovereign.
What was the other SOTD sovereign and made it "Special" Event?
-
Just wondering does SOTD sovereign happens ever year or does this happen during specials events?
-
just wondering for the SOTD sovereign is it something that happen every year or just for special events?

What exactly did you want? If it is something that is available, I can get it for you and post it. The costs may be quite high for postage, but the offer is there if you want it.
I wanted the 5 oz silver proof coin earlier but at this point I rather just save my money and go for the 2023 proof sovereign coins or get the memorial sovereign.

2023 Coronation King Charles III and Queen Camilla Gold Sovereign
in Gold
Posted · Edited by jason94151
Chards have 2023 Coronation of King Charles III Strike on the Day BU Gold Sovereign back in stock again for 1400 GBP.
Have anyone ever have any coin quality issue from Chards before since I think they check the coins first before sending it to the customers but I'm not 100% sure about that.
