  1. Yeah, I don't have any interest bearing accounts, gold is my savings. We hope to visit Indonesia one day, do they mainly have bars there, or is there an Indonesian bullion coin that I've never come across?
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334613780309?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aF_nDpx-TgS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=z1wqlu01szc&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I keep seeing these stupid gold foil certificates with random dodgy looking kruggrands, I made the mistake of clicking on one out of interest and now eBay is advertising me loads of them
  3. It's not that I don't believe you, it's just... The royal mint would bankrupt itself with the lack of QC combined with chards postage costs! 😏
  4. 1/2 pond arrived this morning from @BullionMan89 I wish kruggrands were this colour!
  5. Indeed, first person I spoke to on the phone took the "well it's just bullion we don't deal with numismatic coins so it won't be perfect" However after another email, a bloke rang me stating they were very embarrassed they sent out what they did and told me how to return it
  6. Today my replacement 1/4 Azadi arrived, dated 1386 (2007), condition is miles better!
  7. Closer than bleeding Blackpool! Last time I went there, my car was keyed and I stepped in a pile of curry chips, never again
  8. The pictures aren't the best, but there's a ton of proof half sovs/sovs and even a proof 1980- something panda for pretty good prices, but it's so hard to tell the quality from the photos Which dealer is this, sorry
  9. Gold is very important in Turkish culture, they love it. My fiancée is Turkish, and thankfully this means I can stack gold without judgement hehehe
  10. I've found they can be quite good for foreign gold which is OOS in the main dealers. So far I've come across Cambridgeshire Coins and Philatelic Heritage, which is based in Hungerford. Any recommendations that Google haven't shown me?
  11. Thanks for sharing, it's ridiculous, you'd at least expect their automated system to flag it if the payment was going to an address held by someone in said country, or a domain name based in that country. I'm not going to use PP again
  12. Yeah I'm awaiting the refund to appear back in my bank, and then I'm gonna close my PayPal account
  13. It was reversed today, because buying a pre revolution coin from an English coin shop is totally in violation of sanctions
  14. The gold portion of my stack, started off with the sovereigns, then came to love foreign gold
  15. Thank you! And yeah I'm awaiting a response from their support team, sent a lot of photos with my strongly worded email demanding a replacement in good condition or a refund
  16. Today I received this beautiful 1956 1/2 Pahlavi, very happy! Oh and since it's now light outside, I thought I'd attach a much clearer picture of the 1/4 azadi I received yesterday, it's even worse than I thought!
  17. I didn't calculate it by gram but my terrible maths worked it out to a 64% premium, spot @ 1416.64 when I ordered, cost £137.40, 1.82 grams of gold Edit: £75.49 a gram lol
  18. Just calculated the premium, oof. For a coin in decent condition, I would have been happy, I've wanted this for ages but haven't managed to find one. It wasn't even their only one in stock, they are still available, so the fact that they sent this annoys me even more. I'm going to write to their sales team, because imo it's unacceptable to flog this for the premium they charged.
  19. Today I received this 1/4 Azadi from Bullion by post. To be honest, I'm pretty livid. They charged a hefty premium for a coin which quite frankly, looks to be in terrible condition. I wouldn't be surprised if no one wanted to buy this if it was listed for sale on the forum. Numismatic value is essentially moot, this looks like scrap/spot gold. Really not having a successful week
  20. Retook some photos of my coins when the weather was nicer, happy with how this turned out. 1915 Sydney half sovereign
