No limit to what you can purchase, this merely relates to the tax paid on profits over £3k on an annual basis, when selling non-CGT exempt coins/bars etc

In terms of secondary/resale value, saw one of the 2oz Gold coins on Facebook for £7k today. Don’t know if that’s good/bad but hadn’t sold when I saw it a while ago

I have both. In all honesty, neither is the wrong choice. Both CGT free and priced appropriately both will sell easily enough. Have a think about how you plan to ‘cash out’ when the time comes as that may affect your decision. End of the day, as long as you can get as close to spot as possible, you’re going great 👍🏼

I do wonder if the momentum being built last week was in large part due to the anticipated retaliation by Iran. The rather damp squib effort over the weekend may well explain the small move down today with a view to prices moving back up again based on Israel’s next move and likelihood of a wider war. Sitting here a while won’t do gold any harm in my entirely unprofessional opinion
