I have a couple of specks on mine that you can only see under magnification and I'm of the understanding that a few small stray particles don't really affect the value of an ungraded coin. If you're looking to grade then I hear there is a conservation service you can have carried out to take any particles off the coin before it's graded. The big no no is scratches and dinks that will affect the coin. I've never had anything graded so I'm not speaking from experience. As for the the glint attracting to an issue, I would agree that if you can see the glint without a 5x then it would fall short of their standard. Whether it has an impact on the value as an ungraded coin I wouldn't know but I wouldn't grade it. I'd keep it as is and it'll probably hold its value as a proof in original condition.

I have no idea lol. I should slow down now and sort out some other stuff. Maybe look forward to the second Tudor beast release and look to get some bullion sovereign's later next year. I'm in no rush for anything else at the moment.

Right.... I'm not going to grade mine as I don't like taking them out of their display. I buy them as a whole package so don't want to split them up. I think they'll keep their value as is and I'm happy as they are.

Yeah, I have a magnifying glass that stands. It has a 10x and a 15x capability I think. That coupled with the phone zoom and I think all I'm doing is finding minor faults and making them seem worse than they are but I'm no expert. With a 10x and the naked eye they look fab.

Maybe.... At certain angles it looks like it splits into two so not sure if it's a speck or a dink. Not sure I want to take the capsule off though as these feel like they'll come apart a bit abrupt and send the coin into the air.

So I found a couple little issues. Between the tail and the rim of the quarter sov there's a small thread or something on the coin and on the full sovereign there's a small speck under the unicorns horn. There seems to be small particles on the inside of the capsule as well on it. Is that ok ?

One of your staff members called me today to tell me about a set I had in my wishlist on your website.... I have to say that she was great and offered me an unbelievable price that I couldn't ignore. I'll get some better ones in real light and under magnification tomorrow hopefully when I give them a proper look over and post them in the proper place.

My 3 coin set has arrived and came in perfect condition. From what I can see with just the phone zoom in less than great light, all coins look to be in great condition. Once I get my magnifier back I'll go over them properly but so far so good. More than happy with them 👍😁👍

I know for a fact now it's waiting at home for me. The royal mint emailed me 15mins ago to tell me who had picked up the coins for me from the delivery office yesterday. I was surprised they knew and took it upon themselves to inform me but there we have it. Fk knows what's coming tomorrow then.

I wouldn't know how to take that ... Would that be considered good or bad service? 🤣

I just had a message from DHL saying they are picking up an item for me today and delivering it tomorrow? That was the original plan until the mint sent it out early. Or that's what I'm assuming. I don't know if I have them waiting for me when I get back now or if they're coming tomorrow. All I know is, if it's the coins coming tomorrow.... I have a parcel waiting for me that I have no clue as to what it is lol. Maybe they sent out a second set by accident for free 🤣🤣🤣

I'll be opening my 3 coin set up today for the first time when I get home. It's been in a royal mail delivery office for a week while I've been away so hopefully they haven't been playing football or Jenga with it in the meantime. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me. I have faith they'll be perfect but you never know 🤞😖🤞

They are yet to take the payment again as well so I'm quids in at the moment .... Let's hope they do a classic RM fk up and forget to take the money 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I doubt they will fk up that detail but one can hope 🤣🤣

I had my money refunded which made me worried. Then my set was put into closed orders with a green dispatch as well. They tried to deliver it yesterday morning but I wasn't there to take it so it's waiting for me to pick it up at the post office when I'm back. Yours should be fine.... You'll have it by Friday I'd imagine. Hopefully sooner🤞
