Hey buddy, Thanks for your reply to my post. The 2oz Egyptian Gods rounds are really nice coins indeed. I have most of the series but I am missing 2 of them which are the 2oz Anubis and the 2oz Cleopatra. Yeah agreed, if you feel that strongly about it then you should stick to your guns. It may actually be so nice that it's worth keeping. If it was mine I wouldn't be able to have it on display, it would need to be kept safe in the box so no harm came to it lol, but thats just me 😅

Absolutely, I agree that is another way of looking at it, and an extremely valid one at that. If the RM price their items way higher than the current spot price, and then instruct dealers at what apx price they should be selling at, then anyone buying from a dealer will feel like they've got a bargain. And you're right the Mint does always win, because you're always purchasing from them either directly or indirectly.

Yeah not a bad idea that. I know some people can buy certain coins from the Royal Mint, and then make a profit on them later on down the line when they sell them on. But for regular generic bullion purchases you're far better offer buying from elsewhere, unless you wanna wait 25 years until spot is higher than your original purchase price. But even that's not guaranteed to be a sound strategy with the manipulation of silver prices that we are all aware of.

Yeah you can say that again. I honestly don't see the logic in overcharging, unless the Royal Mint actually believe that their prices represent value for money. Surely they would sell more coins and make more profits if they reduced their prices to reflect what other dealers are charging. Think they need a lesson in Salesmanship!

Very very interesting post about the current prices of silver bullion from dealers in the UK. I am honestly amazed by the prices charged by the Royal Mint, they're actually disgusting 🫣

Yeah if you're sticking to a certain type then it makes sense to sell. There's something special about South American precious metals.
