I absolutely agree that not all coins are created equal. And I certainly have paid high premiums on many items in my collection. I'm a big fan of the Perth Mint too, they produce the best quality silver and gold in my opinion. I have a beautiful 1/10th oz gold Wedge Tailed Eagle coin in my collection, amongst many other coins and bars from the Perth Mint. I'm not sure if I would call myself a stacker or a collector. I would probably fall into both categories as I have many collectable coins and bars in my stack, some of which I've even commissioned to be made. I also have a good amount of generic bullion grade eagles, brits, roos etc which would absolutely be classed as "stacking" bars and coins. I guess if something really appeals to you, then you are willing to pay more for it than a regular coin. And this is one coin that I don't see often on here so I would class it as a collector coin rather than a stacking coin, hence the price I guess.

I rarely find coin collecting to be cost neutral unless im selling one item to release funds to buy another 😆 However you will find that most items on here sell for better prices than you will find at the dealers. So that will certainly help when it comes to balancing the books. Have a good one 👍

Yeah pricing is a relative concept. What may seem expensive to someone, may be a good price to someone else. I'm used to buying 1/10th oz gold coins around the £190 - £210 range so for me it seems a little but pricey, but as ive said others may find the price ideal for them.

Most of the members who visit the forum regularly are still buying/selling silver and gold, and sometimes platinum too. This forum is second to none when it comes to availability of items to purchase, and in most cases with prices that beat the dealers, for very quick delivery. Actually this item seems like a really good idea, and may be something that others may want to buy if it can be easily made by printing it on a 3D printer, and attaching a few components. Great little gizmo regardless, hats off for your creativity @Peacemaker 👍
