As far as I can see Chris, the 2009 had a significantly higher mintage than the surrounding years.

2009 is 6200 whereas other years are 1000-1300.

Seems that some collectors view each year as a different coin, to me they are just the same coin with a different date.

Yes it will mate, as long as you have the larger 12 space tray.

This is what I keep my 2oz lunars in, the home made one I did got binned.

I've just decided though, even though I love the Mexican libertads and especially at that price, that buying a 2oz proof would be dangerous as it would open the doors to all the other 2oz proofs out there. So I am reluctantly holding back on this purchase I will buy a 1oz though at some point, easier to just stick to that standard size for me.

Please take some nice pics when your 2oz arrives, would be awesome to see. Especially compared to a 1oz bu for example.

Maybe in a few years when I have more disposable income I will branch out into the world of large expensive proofs and start a collection, might even get a 5oz version.

5oz is the one size I have avoided up to press and I intend to keep it that way
